I thought when you purchase Title Insurance, that it is Title Insurance. Silly me! I thought that all the high powered research and knowledge that they had in looking into all the fancy paperwork meant I would not have any surprises down the road, and if I did, I would be covered by INSURANCE, as it TITLE INSURANCE. I just received a special assessment bill from Milwaukee County, from 2008, on a home I bought in June of 2010 AND THEY SAID IT IS NOT COVERED. When my agent called them, to speak "their language", and as a person whom has used them many times, they basically told him that "how did we know that bill existed?" That seems to be the whole point of Title Insurance as in "errors & omissions"! To cover the unknow! Do yourself a favor and find a Title Services Company that will stand with you when a records error surfaces. I wasted my $1145,....and am spending the time it takes to write this report to help others, like you reading this one report on this cold, uncaring, unprofessional company. Do not waste your $1145. Oh, by the way, the amount they were asked to cover was $85.
