Ground Crew Service, LLC

Ground Crew was expensive, not dependable and most destructive to our property.  We used them for 18 months.  Put us on a billing cycle that was a month after the fact, spent the 18 months telling us we were a month behind.  Expected payment for service before provided, then didn't show up, we would call and have to complain about no service before we would get a response.  This was for the lawn service and for snow plowing service.  We staked the yard with reflectors, the ground crew removed 2/3rds of them and also sheered off our decorative electric lights.  We just paid over $500 to have them repaired.  They dug up the lawn, said they would reseed, never got to it, we did it ourselves, then they billed us.  We pulled weeds and put them at the end of the driveway, they did not remove them for two weeks.  Average time spent on the yard 'maintenance' was less than 15 minutes a week for $381/month.  After months of complaining and dealing with the billing issues, they did over seed and the yard started to finally look nice (although weeds in the flower beds were still prolific).  This was the end of October!  We were able to finally see some lawn recovery right before the leaves fell.  They did a good job on the lawn clean up, did not do anything to prepare the trees for winter.While they have nice equipment and are friendly when they first started the contract (which had an automatic renewal clause or we would have opted out after the first year).  We spent hours proving our payment history with them, they insisted we were a month behind when the contract stated payments were due on the 25th of the month with a 10 day grace period which we consistently paid.  It was a yearly amount divided into 12 months.  When the contract auto renewed we were told they changed the terms of the contract so that we were 'late' and needed to pay $760+.   When we told them about the damaged fixtures, they told us that this was 'normal due to the excess snowfall this year'.  We finally took pictures of our property damage, and pictures of many of our neighbors' yards who also had professional services and sent a detailed letter and pictures to Ground Crew.  They did release us from the contract.  We should note that this was not our first experience with a full maintenance service, I have used them for over 10 years and have never had any problem or issue.  We had invested over $17,000 in our landscaping after moving to the area and expected the service to protect the investment.  They destroyed much of the property.  I would not recommend them for any service other than yard clean-up.

Job was done on time and work performed as promised.

They are excellent. The work is good and they are responsive. They are an excellent company and do excellent work.

Their prices are good and the work is pretty good too. We are happy with the service they provide overall.
