"Thank you so much for your feedback. Hope you guys are will enjoy your basement for many years to come."
"At CWE Renovations, we value all feedback, both positive and negative, as it allows us to continuously improve our quality of work, and our processes. Renovations often become emotional for the client as living situations are temporarily turned upside down. We do our best however to communicate up front, and along the way, so everything is as smooth as possible. To address a few points on the client?s comment: Prior to commencing project, it was explained that there could be delays when it came to city inspections (which happened). Unfortunately, this idea was dismissed by the client. The expectation was an ideal timeline that did not account for any delays. There was one instance of a delay with material delivery. Such delays are beyond our control. Another reason for the project delay was the continuous requests for task changes. Prior to the start of a project, a timeline is proposed, and specialists are scheduled according to the best of our ability. As this client removed tasks from our schedule, to have a family member (whom they are referring to as the ?outside expert?) complete some work instead of us, we best utilized the time to address other jobs in our pipeline, ultimately throwing off our scheduled timeline. On a principal basis we do not mind if a client wants to make changes, and we try to accommodate our clients? Needs. However, this creates scheduling pressure on our staff. I tried to be clear in communicating that this would cause scheduling issues when needed to come back on the project. This was again dismissed by the client. Concerning charges, after an initial visit to a project site we provide a comprehensive estimate. The estimate is based on a set of assumptions, since we are essentially starting with an empty shell. We then make tweaks until a final proposal is accepted by the client. It was the same in the case of this client, however after the project started there were a few more changes made to the original proposal. The numbers being referred to here are estimate numbers. The client was not charged for anything that was not installed. Once installed, any quantities that needed adjustments were adjusted, and payment was based on quantities that were agreed to. We regret that this became a particularly hard project on both the CWE and the client. The staff and subcontractors for CWE were unhappy due to working conditions that they feel were created by the client. They felt distracted and met with continuous tweaks and questions unrelated to the task at hand. As professionals they finished their work but were happy to move on to the other projects. While I personally do not mind answering questions and providing additional information to clients, outside contractors (HVAC, Electrical) and staff often find this to be a significant distraction that slows them down. Once more, I would like to thank you for your feedback and to wish you and your family all the best going forward."
