The technician arrived right on time and installed the alarm system very efficiently. He explained how everything worked, and it was an overall great experience.

It took a couple tries to get the visit on Gene's calendar, but he was very knowledgeable and friendly when he came out.  

At first he seemed very professional then it degraded to a point where I wondered if he was about to go out of the business.

They have good prices and offered to install an extra motion detector for me for free. My current company won't do that.

Their install person was thorough and cleaned up before he left. I was pleased with the outcome.

After a break-in at my home, I decided I would not feel secure again without an alarm. I checked Angie's list and found the company with signs everywhere in my neighborhood had no good ratings. Central 1 had a good review and the company was local, with 20 years of experience. I called their office on 12/30 or 12/31 and reached the company president, Tom Brueckner. He arranged to come out that day for an estimate, which I was impressed with during a holiday week. After our meeting, he arranged for the installers to work on 1/2/2010, which was a Saturday, at no extra cost to me. The installation took about four hours. I find the system very simple to use. At work the next week, my co-worker told me Tom Brueckner is his wife's uncle and I had gone with a good company. That was very reassuring, too.

The gentleman who helped me is the owner of the company. He bent over backwards to help me, he was great. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs an alarm system.

Mike Fay came out the day after I called for an estimate and he told me the options. The house (a rehab) wasn't ready for installation yet and I actually forgot about it for a while. While the house was being drywalled, I remembered the wiring for the security should be done before drywalling. I called and Mike worked me in the next day although otherwise he would have scheduled it for the next week. When it was done, I couldn't see where the wiring was, that's a good thing! The price for this installation is higher than estimates I'd gotten from other companies, but that's because I had more done than just the basics. I chose this company because they don't require prepayment for the monitoring service (only for installation), the monthly payment is 2/3 that for other companies (so it's less expensive in the long run), there is no contract, and the service is easily transferable to any new owner (they just take over payments.)

MIKE WAS VERY PROMPTED ABOUT RETURNING OUR CALL OF INQUIRY. HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE AT OUR CONVENIENCE TO DO AN AT HOME DEMONSTRATION AND EXPLAIN THE PRODUCT. AFTER REVIEWING 3 DIFFERENT COMPANIES, WE FOUND THAT CENTRAL 1 SECURITY OFFERED THE MOST REASONABLE PRICE AND THE TECHNOLOGY OF THEIR ALARM SYSTEM WAS FAR SUPERIOR TO THE OTHER COMPANIES'. INSTALLATION WAS SCHEDULED QUITE EASILY AND QUICKLY AFTER DECIDING ON CENTRAL 1. THE SYSTEM HAS WORKED WITHOUT A GLITCH AND MIKE HAS FOLLOWED UP WITH US TO MAKE SURE WE ARE SATISFIED.
