We refinanced our existing 30-yr. loan with another fixed rate 30-yr. rate. We worked with Loan Officer Dave Laitsch. From the first phone call to the close, Mr. Laitsh was completely professional, prompt, and thorough. He answered all of my questions clearly and carefully. In seeking a new mortgage, I called at least 10 mortgage companies - from local Wisconsin firms to national firms. Assured Mortgage's rates and closing costs matched the best I could find, and in most cases, was lower. We decided to go with Assured because of Mr. Laitsch's responsiveness, professionalism, their very competitive rate, and excellent closing costs. With some local firms, it felt like a bait and switch (e.g. Mayfair Mortgage) where they wanted us to come into their office in person before they would give us a definite quote. Others required a detailed on-line application before giving you a price. I wasted a lot of time doing that, and in the end, I still had to talk to a broker. Assured Mortgage was upfront and gave all the information we needed over the phone to help us make a decision on which mortgage company to select. We would definitely call them again if we ever needed another mortgage.

It went exactly as we were told and cost just what we were told.

The can-do attitude of my agent, Linda Zwicker, really made the deal possible. She is out of the Lake Mills office. She knew what she was doing and wasn't afraid to dig in to get the right answers. I was perhaps the most impressed with the closing costs, which I felt were on the low end of what the market charges to refinance. She stuck by her word about both the costs of the deal and what she could do. Lending is a lot more difficult than it used to be only 2 years ago, and Assured Mortgage got us a great deal and made the process as easy as possible. Having the right person who can get it done is CRITICAL when interest rates dip, because sometimes you only get one shot at it.

We had very open communication and they had a very strong industry knowledge. They were available to call at odd times which was helpful and they were honest as well.
