Terrible, Terrible , Terrible. This is an update from my first post about defective siding. Still have not heard a word back from this company. Beware. I see they responded to other reviews left on here. But never mine. Gee I wonder why they have not responded. Very dishonest company. My work was not done in 2020 but a few yrs earlier. Obviously their Lifetime Warranty is also a lie. DO NOT ANSWER YOUR DOOR If they ring your bell. If they ever respond to me and replace the siding I'll let you all know. But so far no show no response. They know they are in the wrong. That is why no response here or to my calls.

It's been several yrs now that we had hired ADHI. We special ordered 5 inch side siding plus an upgrade also on the color we wanted. After the nightmare of getting what I thought was very detailed of how we wanted the house finished we still pulled up to our house to find it being done wrong. There are so many things that were going to be done shotty if my husband and I weren't there to watch. Then after it was all said and done, with very rude workers. I can't even describe how bad all the office and field workers were to us. They are all very nice until there is a question. Then the **** starts. The siding that was put on our house was produced damaged. Called them several times. When the sun shines on the areas it looks like a tennis ball is under the siding. It has nothing to do with the underneath structure. It was made faulty. They always came out when I could not walk the house with them. Small babies in the house that could not be left alone. Both employees of theirs and the manufacturers of the siding came out. They sent a person to replace the damaged siding. Only they only replaced a few pieces on the back of garage area. Called again. Again someone came out. Looked at it and refused to wait for me to come out and walk the house with them. His response of me pointing out how the bad siding is place all over our house was, What do you think we're going to do? Replace it all. My response was, Yes if it needs to be. The man said to me that since they already did replace some they would have to close that complaint and open a new one. By now it was the middle of winter. Siding gets crisp when cold. He then said he would call me come Spring. That was at least 5 yrs ago. Still have not heard a thing from him. Since then we had 2 of their salespeople stop at our house looking to inspect our roof. I had this person look at our house. He didn't know they did the siding. I asked his opinion on it. He even said it needed to be replaced. They say they give a lifetime warranty. This salesperson said he would get it to be taken care of. After a month of nothing. Called his phone and it had been disconnected. Meanwhile we still have bad siding on our house and a piece that does not match. Don't even answer your door if they come knocking. Our home is all we have for money investment. Because of their shotty siding and liars that they are they have taken away some of our home value. They continue to ignore the problem. And no I have not tried again to contact them. I've been through many health issues and the stress this has caused me makes my health worse. But I will never stop trying to have this taken care of.

They brought the material one day, and the next day they started on our roof. They cleaned up everything. We did not have to do anything. The only thing they ask, is if we have any lawn furniture, decorations that we move it out of their way so it is not damaged. They were able to finish our roof in 2 days. Very pleased. We did receive lots of compliments.

Great at sales. Lousy delivery. Once the job was sold, we had a hard time getting them to commit to the actual work. We finally had to threaten to cancel the order, and then they came right out. Since then, we have made several calls for them to fix their shoddy work, and no one calls back or comes by. They were paid for the job, and now they don't have time for us. On to bigger and better sales, I guess.

I told him 'no' that I had done numerous upgrades in the past 7 years and really had nothing I needed done. He persisted so I said 'ok'. Next thing I know he's on a ladder and on my roof.
When he came down he said I had had hail damage to my roof and possibly to my gutters and that I had a good case to warrant a new roof from the insurance company and his company could do the work. (He said the hail storm from August 1, 2014 left many people in our area with roof and siding damage).
He showed me some pictures he had taken of my shingles with his cell phone which showed some possible problems. I didn't realize I could have damage and was concerned he might be right so I let him fill out a contract after which he called my insurance company and requested them to have an adjuster contact me for an inspection for a hail storm roof claim.
After he left I read the contract thoroughly and went onto 'Angies List' to check the company out. BAD REVIEWS!
The next morning I called my insurance agent (this salesman had told me I didn't really have to call my agent, that this claim was really just between the insurance company and his company) and he immediately told me to get out of the contract which I did with certified mail to the Brookfield and Chicago offices.
Today 3/26 the inspection was done (took over 1/2 hour resulting in many camera shots of measurements I reviewed on the his laptop) and my roof is in great shape! The inspector said he has done hundreds of roof inspections in Brookfield and New Berlin and is not aware of ANY hail damage from August 1, 2014. BUYER BEWARE!

I like them. They do insurance claim. They did a nice job. Overall, I was satisfied. I got a lot of plans around the house. They told me that I needed to cover the plants and do something with the plants. It was all good. I think it was a fair price. It wasn’t out of their range. The quality was there. They were very responsive. Once I pick out the colors and all the other stuff, everything was delivered to my house within a week. A couple of days, the staff arrived. The team came and did it. I like the sales rep a lot. The people who were actually here at the house were fine too.

The lady who gave us the quote came by yesterday. We actually don't know what the job is going to cost, but they guarantee no out of pocket except for the deductible so they are going to be getting done what we wanted done. The check is here already. What we have they are going to get it done for that amount and we are happy with it. I decided to use them after their young man walked up and told me what they do. We had a lot of storm damage in this area. The two I have been dealing with are really nice. It was a young guy and young woman and I think he was training her so she was newer. Those two did not seem to be communicating all that well with each other. I ran two copies of the summary that the adjuster gave me because they both needed a copy. It was just over little details and paperwork like that so they could stand to be more professional.

They showed up at our door immediately after the storm offering to help and be a liason with the Insurance company, promising to only accept what the insurance was willing to pay. But I had to sign a contract with them in advance. It seemed very sketchy, but the price was right. When the work was done, they were very quick and efficient and it looked very good. However, they left my gutters full of nails and I'm still finding them in my yard a year later. After the completed work, the salesman came to collect ahead of schedule and offered me a deal if I paid now (which I did) but a couple of months later I received an invoice asking for additional payment saying the insurance company did not cover the full cost. I called my salesman and he was able to address it eventually, but not before several phone calls to the and quot;parent companyand quot; in Chicago.
In the end, I have a new roof that works, but the install was mediocre. A year later I see a lot of waves in the roof and I supposedly bought a 50 year roof warranty but never received the paperwork for the warranty. Bottom line, next time I will go with a local roofer that I select.

They were doing work for my neighbor and they were using my lawn for placing their materials. Without asking me to come on my property. I asked them to take the supplies off my property and they were very rude. They dumped debris on my property.

American Dream Home Improvement took our awning off to work on our neighbor's roof and did not put it back on when they were finished. They dug a cement hose stand out of our yard and left it laying in the walkway and left debris all over our yard. They were here until 10:30 or 11:00 on a Sunday night cleaning up with a vacuum cleaner and left their dumpster in the middle of our street for four days.

Said they would deal with the insurance agency so that we would have little out-of-pocket expense. He took a picture of some dents in a vent. I called my agent and he sent out an adjuster and it was determined that the and quot;hail damageand quot; on the roof would not even cover our deductible. So check things out before you sign anything, especially since the price was about double what we actually ended up paying with another roofer.

Overall, the work itself looks good but the issues that I had were with the lack of communication from the salesman and his willingness to blow off appointments. The process began with one of their salesman approaching me while I was working outside one day and telling me that he had been working with some other homes in the area from a recent storm that we had and asked if he could take a look at our roof to see if we had any damage. He went up and took pictures of several spots that did receive damage and felt we would be able to have it covered by insurance. After I set up an appointment to have an adjuster come over, I called the salesman to let him know and he asked if I would be home the next day so he could come by and get some measurements of the roof. I told him I would be and we set the time for 6:30. He did not show up that day but instead came the following day at 5:00. Figured it was just a mix up that he showed up at wrong time and day late. The salesman's supervisor came over for the appointment with the adjuster instead of the salesman and after we were approved to have the work done I asked if I could have a day or two before I committed to anything and he said that was no problem and that he would have the salesman come by the following Monday between 6:00 and 6:30. Monday came and he had not shown up by 6:30 so I called him and left a message. By 7:15 I still had not received a call from him so I called him again. When he answered he said that he did not know about appointment but that he would be right over. After we did all the paperwork he told us that the we would be getting a call a few days before the materials were to be delivered to schedule that. We told him we were going on vacation and he told us that would be no problem, that they would wait until we got back. I called him on Thursday of that week to ask for something that our insurance agent requested and to confirm that nothing would be delivered while we were gone. I had to call him again on Friday before he finally returned my call. After we got back from vacation we did not hear anything from him for over a week so I called to find out if he knew when they might do our work. I never received a call back from him so I ended up having to call his supervisor to get an answer. He told me that we were on the schedule for the following Friday and that we should be getting a call to schedule the materials delivery. Never got a call to schedule the delivery, they just showed up on Wednesday and ended up being the wrong color. I let them know they were wrong color and they said they would straighten it out but not before the Friday we were scheduled to have work done. They delivered the right ones the following week and I figured either the salesman or the supervisor would let me know when they were planning to do the work. Instead they just showed up one day without warning and started working, to the surprise of my wife who walked out to leave for work and there were men on our garage. After the work was done the salesman did come over right away to collect our first payment. After we received the final payment from our insurance company I called the salesman and left him a message that I had rest of the amount due. He did not return my call so I called him one week later on a Friday and left another message. He returned my call but I missed it and he left a message saying that he could come by on Saturday to get the check. I called him back and left him a message that Saturday would be fine, around 12:30, and to let me know if that did not work for him. He never called back so I took that to mean that he would be there on Saturday but he never showed up or called. I waited a couple of weeks to see if anybody would call but they never did. I called the supervisor this time and left him a message saying that I had the check. I ended up having to call him twice before he finally called me back. He came over to get the check and told me that we should receive the warranty and other paperwork within a week or two and that if we did not I should give him a call. I waited three weeks and did not receive anything so I left him a message. I never got a call back so I ended up calling their main office two weeks later and received all the paperwork two days later. So far everything looks good on the roof and I have not had any problems with the work that was done.

Sales rep. Dave came to our house and offered to do an inspection of our house. The company had done 2 other properties on our block and so I agreed. He showed me hail damage on my siding and window trim from a storm last summer and said he believed it was worth filing a claim with my insurance co. (American Family). Dave walked me through the process, met with the insurance adjuster and made sure everything went as spelled out on the agreement we signed from start to finish. The work crew was professional and courteous and made sure to completely clean up after themselves and replace everything as they found it. 2 additional points I want to make: 1. American Family originally only approved the siding, not the windows. Dave told me it was worth calling AmFam back and asking the adjuster to take another look. He met him at the house and they approved replacing the trim on 2 sides of my house. 2. One of our big concerns was paying our $1,000 deductible as cash is tight right now. Dave gave us $200 off for putting 2 signs out front during the work (we live on a corner, so we got 2 signs instead of 1). He also allowed us to pay $50/month on the deductible, although we will probably finish paying it off with our tax return. I recommend American Dream for your home improvement projects. SM

He asked what siding I wanted, and I expressed I didn’t want what he was showing me. I called the company up that makes the siding and they said that was their starting grade. We didn’t pick out a color or anything. They said they would be here the next day. I tried to call the company to cancel the appointment, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. They showed up the next day with a load of siding that I did not pick out. They put ruts in my yard from driving a forklift on it. They left nails on the road. I called American Dream and told them to cancel the whole thing. Another contractor told me that the contract I signed gave them the authority to pick out the siding. I basically signed over all the decisions to them.
I had another contractor do the work, from a referral . It was a mistake!

Due to hail damage the salesman told us they could replace the roof for the insurance cost on the house and garage. Finding no complaints on the BBB or Angie's list site against this company, we agreed to their proposal. The house was done in a timely manner, and we ran into opposition on the garage. I told the salesman more than once that I would just pay it and be done with it. He kept insisting that I wait while THEY sent in pictures of the garage roof, and got a different appraiser. I agreed to this. I then started to call the insurance company and over one and a half months to two months, they had not received this information, so they could proceed with the claim. Whenever I called the salesman, I got a story of how it was held up in the office, or was lost, and the stories just kept coming. I then stopped talking to this salesman because I was tired of being lied to.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and in return I received an invoice for the balance due on this job.
