Horrible! Totally unqualified to be a builder/contractor. Would never recommend him. Examples: Took 10 months to put up siding AFTER it was delivered and the frame of the house was up. Provided keys to doors but none of the keys worked. Stated that he never had to inspect the work of his sub-contractors since they were "experts". Result was poor quality workmanship that ranged from the tapers/drywallers cutting the wires to the automatic garage doors, (which took a long time to fix), to a very rough finish on the basement floor when we specified a smooth finish. Question: if he did not inspect his sub-contractors work then, who needs him? Some of the subs did not follow best industry standards. Terrible contract he presented to us; it pretty much transfered all risk to the buyer. Also, did not included WI law that required contractors to inform us, in writing, of arbitration rights. Note: He said he never heard of the requirement! The statuates included in his contract were for MN, NOT WI where we were building! We had to modify the contract to make it less one sided, more fair. Told us he deserved a monthly fee as our builder for Amwood that was in addition to his 7% sub-contracting fee. This was not in the contract and incentive to him was to draw out the time for building our home. This was the first home he built with Amwood and as far as we could tell they did not check him out and did not successfully train him. A MAJOR short coming of Amwood Homes. Marc had no clue how to enter critical information into Amwood's computer system. VERY poor at communicating. Time after time he failed to answer critical e-mail questions. Many delays and in some cases cost overruns. Failed to finish the home by the end of 2016. After he finished putting up the siding in June 2017 and his plumber finished his work - we ended our contractual relationship. We were very glad to end that chapter of our life.
