Black River Power Sports

I brought my 1995 Suzuki GSXR in to have it looked at because it was running really rough. They called me to tell me what was happening and that my bill was already about $300 ( I believe the bill was more than this but I can't find the receipt so I am erring on the side of caution and listing it low) for the work they had preformed. They told me that I had lost compression in two of the cylinders and if I wanted them to investigate further it would probably cost me another 600-800 dollars. I could not afford this and told them that it wasn't necessary. I went to pick up my motorcycle and they didn't even put it back together. I got a striped down motorcycle, a box of parts, and the body panels. The gas tank was off, everything. I paid my bill and put the motorcycle in storage as it seemed to be a lost cause.
Just recently I had someone look at the motorcycle again. It took them 15 minutes to diagnose a bad timing chain tensioner. Needless to say it took all of 30 minutes to put a $50 timing chain tensioner in the bike, but another 4 hours to put back together the mess that Black River Power Sports left me with.
My motorcycle is now running beautifully after sitting for 4 years because I was told it would be too expensive to fix and couldn't afford to let Black River Power Sports swindle another $600 - $800 out of me.
I have to wonder if I was a man if I would have been treated the same way, or did they see a woman with a hot pink motorcycle and figure they could get away with this? I will never ever recommend this place to anyone, and caution everyone to stay away.
