"It is true that we were not timely with the first router setup. For that we apologize. Besides that, the rest is not entirely true. The router that we put it did have guest network access, however, it required the guests to go to a webpage and type in the guest password. Often this is true in hotels, coffee shops, etc. Some devices such as smartphones and tablets do not often "call out" the password webpage properly. This is due to the OS and version of the smartphone or tablet. So, the router we recommended did not work too well for the client and angered her. We offered a more robust wireless Access Point that does not "call out" the webpage and the client was not happy with having to get another device. It is not bait and switch. With technology, sometimes solutions need to be adjusted or augmented. Whether we knew that the first solution was going to (or not going to) work, they still needed the full $443.52 solution. We tried the lower costs solution and it did not work, so we had to supplement it. That is all. We work hard to provide viable solutions at the lowest costs but sometimes your needs may require more. I am sorry that you were disappointed. It was not our intent."
"There was a large amount of work that needed to be performed. A laptop and a Desktop had to be reloaded, all software had to bee installed and all updates. In addition, we had to move all their data, setup their printer at their home and train them on how to use Windows 8. We also provided 30 days FREE support. It took two engineers 2 days to get the work done. It takes that long to get computers setup properly. Also keep in mind this was two computers, two sets of data and e-mail, training and in-home placement."
Kyle Kontney and one of his employees, Will, came to the house on time. They had us show them our computer set-up and where everything was. They then proceeded to make notes and take pictures of our equipment. We were informed then of our options and costs. They took the computers and phone back to the office to complete a lot of the work there. Kontney then came back to do all the installation work and educate us on our new system.We are very pleased with Kontney. They make it easy to understand all the technical jargon in plain English. The following is verbatim of what we had done.
1. (planning and procurement): Provides a one-on-one personal consultation to determine the best PC/Laptop for the clients needs, provide the best pricing on business grade equipment, make software recommendations based on the needs of the client. Place order/s, manage order processing and receive the hardware and software item/s.
2. (crafting and engineering): Load Windows OS from scratch, apply latest BIOS update to the PC/Laptop, firmware update the optical drive, install the latest drivers for the network card, sound card, video card, and north and south bridge chipset. Install all Microsoft Windows updates, install the latest version of Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Shockwave, and Java. Install all client-provided software and all purchased software, update all installed software (such as patches and hotfixes), configure all user profiles and migrate all data from old PC or Laptop and configure email clients.
3. (placement and delivery): Set up the PC/Laptops at the client's residence, configure and secure any wireless networks at the site, connect all wireless devices onto the new wireless network (if any) install any printers, scanners or scanners on the new PC/Laptop, remove any old printers, monitors, or Pcs and properly recycle including wiping all data off hard drives with a Department of Defense DoD 5220.22-M level wiping utility, provide client with brief overview of the new PC/Laptop physical features, provide an overview of the new features of the operating system and any new software, provide client with software folder with all media and manuals provided with the PC/Laptop and software packages.
4. (support and assistance): Provide thirty days of free phone support, provide thirty days of free remote control support.
I would use Kontney Computer Group again. And I recommend them to others.

The drive failed catastrophically and the contents were not able to be saved.They tried everything and did not charge me because the data could not be copied.
I bought new hardware and so far am very pleased with it.
Kontney Computers was excellent to work with in a number of ways. They were very prompt at returning phone calls during both my services (repair and purchase). Both of the employees I worked with could easily explain what they were doing in simple terms and train me on any new software. I really liked the home delivery/pick up service as well.
Overall, I would recommend this company to anybody for either a purchase or a home or business computer and for any type of repair work. I feel it was a great value with excellent service.Licensing
