My original one lasted 13 years. They sold me a Pentair ($2600) last August, which failed after only two months use total. They told me that it was my fault but my habits have not changed in the past 15 years of caring for this pool. They expected me to shell out another $2600 on another one even though it is clear that the product is defective. Since they are a distributor for Pentair, Pentair used their opinion to decide on the warranty. If you read the warranty exclusions, (written in tiny print) they eat up the warranty. So there really isn't a warranty. It is some kind of scam they have cooked up to force customers to pay every year for a new one. They do not represent you the customer but only the manufacturer which is very shady.
