Marinas
Put down a deposit on the boat we chose to purchase on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 with the one specific request that would be a deal breaker.......we must take possession BEFORE Memorial Weekend as we had out of town guests coming. Jeff told us no problem. We filled out his financing paperwork. Got word on May 6th at 4:41pm that his financing people could not finance us because they don't have a track record with us. We went to our bank and got approved on May 7th. Still no problem getting our boat before Memorial Weekend. Days without communication. Many, many disagreements about delivery date. Excuses after excuses. Wanted to take delivery on Saturday, May 17th, but he still didn't have the Sea Legs installed. We wanted to be able to load up the boat with our equipment, get acclimated to our new boat and break in the motor before our Guests started to arrive on Friday, May 23rd morning. Tried getting deliver on Wednesday, May 21st, but he still didn't have time to install the Sea Legs. We finally took possession of our new boat on Friday, May 23rd at Noon, but unfortunately they were 1 1/2 hours late. Some of my guests came to see the boat being dropped at the landing.
The boat wasn't detailed what-so-ever, in fact there was a black mark on the upholstery that we first pointed out on May 3rd and it was still there on May 23rd when we took possession. The weight plate stating how many passengers/weight the boat is rated for was incorrect, asked for them to replace it with the correct one (we are still waiting for that as of November 17, 2014) and all the plastic rings that go around the play pen poles were broke from people at the marina stepping on them (we were told those would be replaced on May 3rd when we purchased the boat and as of November 17th, we are still waiting). Last e-mail was sent on July 15, 2014 requesting the capacity rating & vents to be replaced......with no response. Now we can't get any response because the deal is done.
We love our boat, but we would never go back nor would we recommend Reed's Sunnyside Marina to any of our friends.
