Slaby Electric

Terrible. The first time, they drilled several holes above our new peninsula to hang pendant lights. Never filled them in. I wanted to replace the pot light above the sink with a pendant light. They said it couldn't be done. My husband did it himself. Of course it can be done-they just didn't care enough to do it. And then they charged us a huge amount of money for what they did do. But, we gave them a second chance. We wanted to leave our business in town. They were supposed to come and put in electrical boxes behind our new wall mounted TV from the new fireplace and then hook up the TV, DVR cable, and DVD player and put all the wires behind the wall. They came, put in one box behind the fireplace (there was already an outlet there) and charged us huge amounts of money. Our daughter's boyfriend hooked up the DVR and DVD, and we had the company that sold us the TV come in and put in the boxes and hide the cables and wires. Slaby Electric insisted they did all they were supposed to do. I paid them for the materials, but not the labor, because they didn't do anything. The owner kept calling me at work (I am not allowed to take personal calls at work) telling me they wanted the bill paid and to "talk about it" since they said they did what they were supposed to do. I finally paid the full bill (plus finance charges!!!) because I didn't want to ruin my credit rating, but said I was going to let everyone know about how they screwed us. He then called me at work again and left a message about how ridiculous I was, and that I should "man up" (I am a 53 year old wife and mother-hard to man up), and that he was going to trash us to all other contractors and make sure either they don't work with us, or they charge double. How professional. I guess repeat business is not important to them.
