KILLIAN FURNITURE & FLOOR

In the Winter of 2010 we asked Killian furniture to give us an estimate based on the blueprint of the new house as this was a custom home He had access to the planners to order all the millwork to be raised for the flooring i informed him of this and gave him Phone numbers along with a blueprint ." he said great he will call them"  We picked out a few rooms of carpet and we had to wait to order the Bath Vinyl Because of sink colors had to be adjusted, He phoned my husband and was pushing him to get the vinyl ordered saying things like " The costs are going up daily you need to order right away to get the best deal" so we went and ordered the Vinyl so now its all ordered he started complaining about the kardean (which he agreed to install) he didnt know thing one about it . but said he could do it ,  about three weeks before installation was to take place I phoned his office and asked for a Invoice as i had not received one. He stated to me that If he were to provide a detailed invoice that it would cost more! I replied that that didn't matter and to please send one. Needless to say i didn't get one until after the install and it came in three stages making it difficult at best to read and decipher!..Ok day of install finally came first thing he did was to rip out all my kickboards under my cabinets breaking them as he went then was complaining that he had to remove the millwork throughout the house (maple wood) I was speechless but didnt say anything at this time to him assuming that he was aware that this was his job ! at that time i had other contractors to deal with for $10,000  i shouldnt have had to do his job. He advises me out in the garage that he will be back next tuesday to finish as he had the starter strips layed in the house.I said to him thats unacceptable and that i need it finished by the weekend as he has had this job since last winter and has all the time to plan for it .he was angry but finished it by friday. I caught him in the garage taking all the excess materials from the job all the padding . I called him on this  and he stated we only paid for what he laid well withoit an invoice what could i say? i was angry now he said he was finished i went into the house and looked at the job he did ..OMG! the kickboards were ripped off ! All the millwork had been put back on crooked there was garbage stacked up to high heaven and the registers were off the walls why didnt he replace the registers ?because they wouldnt fit all the millwork was slapped back on and overlapped the vents!  he didnt even bother to vaccume It was a Disaster! I stewed and then called him to ask him about the kickboards and the extra material he took off the site.he said to me that the kickboards shouldnt have been on at all.  i reminded him this was a custom home and that he could have ordered them raised so he wouldnt have to remove them .and hung up I was so upset that i told my husband to deal with this ..Low and behold The floor guy phoned my husband and said " Wayne i need to talk to you about your wife"!  Omg! My husband responded (bless his heart) What can you tell me i dont already know?..:) My husband then asked him about the kickboards well floor guy said that I had said they will be black and not to worry (Really?) My husband said we discussed it and that hubbs said to stay with the wood floor guy said gimme number to Custom home builder to have them fixed My designer called and spoke to me and said he was sending someone over to look at the damage, he came himself we looked at the millworking all my Doors are cut with a saw so he could lay his flloor  none of the doors match all are uneven he sawed one side and not the other from my kitchen pantry my french doors all my bedrooms ..this guy had a great time with his saw ..! the amount to fix is astronomical around 400 each to fix so not sure what to do i asked my husband to withhold pay ..from him until we get it straight  needless to say My husband paid the rat! no i have no recourse but to write this and hopefully nobody else will get stung by this guy By the way His name is Carl Bisek
