RUN....Horrible company!! Very unprofessional/dishonest business and people from top to bottom. Hired Vandehey put a new pool liner in. Took forever to install and only spent 30 minutes here most days which is why it took so long. The crew put holes in our new liner with a screwdriver when installing and were going to leave it. We had to request a new liner. That was only 1/2 the problems. 1st liner their crew...and I'm quoting.....had dirty tanks they used to fill water into our pool. This caused HUGE issues with the water, our son broke out with something all over his body, clogged up our pool heater which is now broken and they refused to fix and caused issues with the brand new (less than 1 year old pool filter) that we just bought from them. They refused to fix this as well saying we had to spend $1400 to replace parts in this filter we just purchased from them and never got to hardly use. 1 year later after we started this nightmare, they were supposed to come back and finish the trim around our stairs and make sure the water was still clean from the previous issues. They ordered the wrong size trim first but then realized they couldn't even get our size anymore so they couldn't get anything snapped on. They chose to install this piece that doesn't even fit with silicone to get it to stay. It was falling off from day 1 which they tried to get it to hold with sandbags in our pool. Now we cannot remove it for fear of tearing our new liner. They stopped all communication after leaving the sandbags in the pool and left us wondering what was going on. Then sent us a bill saying we were 90 days past due, with late fees and we were going to collection if didn't pay immediately. We have emails and texts showing they were still working by us and had agreed to no final payment until all work was complete. I would never recommend Vandehey!!!

I hired Vande Hey Co for a large project including swimming pool, pavers, fireplace, deck and gazebo. The only positive was that the project started on time. Everything else from quality, timeliness of project completion, supervision on site and customer service was terrible. The concrete around our expensive fiberglass pool was done incorrectly, but the company refused to repair it properly until I provided photos proving that the rebar was not laid properly which ultimately led  to severe excessive cracking of the concrete around the pool--to the degree it was falling off the edge of the pool into the pool itself. There was no urgency or consideration on the part of Vande Hey, and we lost use of the pool for the entire summer based on their mistake and failure to ensure quality workmanship. In addition, mistakes were made on almost every aspect of the project (our deck railing was not screwed in place over the winter months, and was discovered when I leaned against it in the spring and the rail came off in my hands). Beware of this company if you want anything more than simple landscaping or pool opening / closing. They are expensive, take longer than advertised, communicate poorly, and do not have the proper supervision onsite to ensure quality workmanship.

The project went OK, it looks good. I think the price turned out to be a bit excessive, in retrospect. The designer/salesman was not present at the installation, and some things did not turn out the way I expected. The supervisor in charge of the installation said grading would be handled one way, and it turned out it was handled another way; what they did was easier for them but involved having the front border materials cover the bottom row of decorative stone and quot;sidingand quot; on the front of the house, and then a higher-than-planned level of materials on the east side of the house which then required the use of metal window wells (an unplanned $160 addition which they almost charged us for). The replanted sedum on the west side of the house are too close to the house (visible after the growing season started), and I specifically stated I wanted nothing touching the wood siding. With all the personnel and supervisors involved with the project, they still left hand prints of dirt on the recently repainted siding, as well as mud on the driveway. The salesman came back and cleaned the siding and the driveway. I think a and quot;high endand quot; landscaper should check obvious details like that before leaving the job site.

The services were not performed until December so I had no idea how things would look in the growing season of 2013. The bushes look great . The grass has lots of weeds. I have not called the service about it because I do not want any toxic substances applied. So calling in an organic lawn company will be a further expense. The pavers should have had a deeper base.

We were very impressed with the work.We thought the plan that Jeremy had created was perfect. Jacob and his crew were quick, hard-working, polite, and neat.
