Surface Creations

We chose a quartz product for the tops / sink and the materials turned out as good as expected. The demo of the old tops / sink was seamless and the install of the new product went almost perfectly. There were two small imperfections in the fit of the new counters to the contours of one wall. One is in a wrap around corner so it is not visable without serious effort while the other is at the end of a section next to a walkway. Most of this imperfection is covered by the tile backsplash and the remainder is not very noticeable. The most noticeable issue we had was the install crew did not ask before drilling the fawcet hole for the sink. While the hole is centered on the under mount sink, it is roughly six inches off from our intended placement. This is only an issue as the tile backsplash in this area (installed after the tops) has a special design and the centered fawcet placement causes the fawcet to hide a key design element in the backsplash.
The two install guys were courteous and professional and did a good overall job with the install. The fawcet placement issue is a detractor, and while I should have specifically told them where we wanted the hole drilled, I also feel that the install crew should have asked / confirmed before drilling.

It was great. First of all, Surface Creations were the first countertop company that told me that the sink could be cut out. I spoke to three other businesses who told me that I needed to replace all my countertops (which would have cost me over $6000). I handled it all over the phone. They arrived on time - two guys - Rob and Dustin. They sanded and buffed my countertops and installed my new sink. They arrived at 11:30 and were gone by 2pm. The quote was exact. Very friendly and professional people.
