I originally contracted with Robert of Fox Valley Properties and Maintenance to install a toilet and vanity that I had purchased at a home improvement store. He and his colleague came on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up. It all went beautifully and I am very happy with the results.
Since Robert was already in the house, I asked him about the possibility of installing an additional sump pump in my basement - water had begun leaking into my basement utility room for the first time in over 15 years. I hate water in the basement and was ready to spend a lot of money for a second sump pump. Robert, however, urged me not to do so. He pointed out that the leakage occurred directly under my window well, and that this was the likely cause of the problem (the window well, original to the house, was 75 years old). He advised me to replace the window well and ensure the banking of the earth was properly done instead. "Don't do something expensive if you can do something cheaper that will probably solve the problem."
