Gerhard's First Supply

Through my plumber, 2 faucets and a sink were ordered for a kitchen and bathroom remodel job. I visited the Gerhard's showroom, choose the items I was interested in ordering and worked with Gerhard's and my plumber to place the order. I was to pick up the items when they arrived so the sink could be brought to the place where my counters were being template etc. After approximately 1.5 weeks after the order was/should have been placed I called Gerhard's to check on the status of my items so I could work out the timing for counter templating. At that time I was told it would be at least 2-3 weeks before my sink would be in. So, again in another 2 weeks I called to check on the timing and was told that the sink would hopefully ship in another week or so and one of the faucets was not in yet either. I have now been waiting 3.5 weeks for a sink and faucet and am being told that if the sink would ship as hoped I would have it in approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks. This makes a total wait time of 4.5 to 5 weeks. In the mean time I went out on the internet and found that if I had ordered these same items at the same price (and free shipping) I would have had them in approximately 7 days. Because of this long wait time all of my other project timing was pushed out anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks. Frustrated about the timing and after a 4 week wait time I called my plumber to inform him that I was going to cancel the order with Gerhard's and order through the internet. I just couldn't depend on when I was going to get my supplies. My plumber spoke to Gerhard's and low and behold I had my sink the next day and a faucet 2 days later. I worked with Gerhard's initially because I believe in supporting local smaller businesses. Well, this is a smaller business I'll never work with again due to their extremely poor customer service.
