I have bought Groupons before and they are worth double at restaurants etc but not here.  My husband went down with our handicap van to do 5 windows that the Groupon was for ( 5 windows for $199) and the owner started adding on the cost right away... "his ruler" was the way everything was measured - all the windows had to be of a certain size.  When I bought this I read the offer to make sure there was no fine print stating this up front. Other window tinting places are professional and state exceptions to costs right in the ads. I even printed it off.  When we brought the page in the owner and his wife just looked at each other and said "Well it costs me more to do the  2 side windows because they are larger ."  I said OK, if we brought in our other car and included the back window; if you compare surface areas it's a lot bigger. So what ever car most people brought in you would end up charging more than the $199. Do you think he gives a discount if anyone has smaller windows? I bet not! When I called to make and appointment they answer the phone "Are you calling about the $199. special or ?( they also had some other special besides going on).  The $199. Groupon we bought was supposed to be worth $400. at this vendor.  Well don't believe it for one minute. BAIT AND SWITCH  He adds up the total and says "And we apply the Groupon to the total".  I said isn't the Groupon worth $400.00?  He said (pause, pause) yes! Then I said according to you if I wanted to get all the windows done on my van with the way YOU measure my van would cost over $1000.00 if I got all my windows done?  He said Oh, Yes easily over $600.00 to do the work. Well he already had $199 of my money I contacted Groupon about them and didn't get a response about getting my money back , I got a reminder my time was expiring to use the coupon and I have to have the van windows tinted for medical reasons otherwise I never would have done it, we almost thought about walking away from the money. He sure is the epitome of having you over a barrel.  By the way, you don't see any paperwork until you pay and (then you see the fine print) which my husband did I couldn't even stomach seeing the owner again, just the look on his face as every question I asked him he countered with "Well my ruler says the windows all have to be this size" He should have that in all of his advertisements too.  BAIT AND SWITCH BAIT AND SWITCH We even were going to pay to do extra windows so for this guy it's $55. a window and for smaller windows those cost just about as much maybe $35 or $45 depending on the size. Angies list has Tint King with a Full Size GMC or what ever with the same size windows and more windows than my van even had for $259!!!!!!  If you think about it if the Groupon was worth $400. this vendor owes me back the $172.70 and an apology because we had to leave our van overnight to have them do the windows. The van is totally open inside. Straight windows and after he ripped us off on the price we had to make a 30 mile round trip without my wheelchair to pick up the van to get it with the light windows that was another nasty surprise.  Why can't they get it done while you wait?  I had to make 2 trips unnecessarily in my opinion.  They do the drivers and passengers windows while you wait.  My husband said they were trying to be real personable when he payed for the van because I told them I was going to go to Angieslist.com and do a review and contact Groupon and tell them not to list them because it was just a BAIT AND SWITCH and they didn't honor the $199. for $400 at all. They just used them for wider advertising.  I think the owner trying to be nice after they ripped us off is a bit too little too late.
