Christensen & Wisnet Heating & Cooling

Because we have no duct work (radiator heat) we had limited options for cooling systems...window units, "space packs" (mitsubishi wall units that act like central air) and high velocity piped in from the attic.  Two years ago a different company came out, measured, and never even gave us a quote. 
C&W explained our options, provided a quote that they stuck to, and performed the work in 3 days.  The company is knowledgeable and even though this project is not a common one, they install a couple per year so have experience with the work.  The workers were friendly and professional.  The price was not cheap, but they managed to install the central air into our entire 2nd floor and two vents onto our first, which results in significant overall cooling.  While this was an expensive project, we now have what we consider the ideal heating and cooling scenario - the comfort and coziness of rdaiator heat in winter and the freshness of central air in the summer.  
It has only been just over a week but we have had warm temperatures and high humidity weather and the diference in our home is fantastic.  The air comes out through small circular vents in the ceiling that are about the size (or smaller) of recessed lights. The vents are located at the perimter of the room. While there is a palpable stream of air at the vent site, the whole room is cooled.  Upstairs rooms received 1-3 such vents per room, depending on the size of the room, and C&W was able to use a closet and a laundry chute to install two vents on the first floor.  The system is effective - even with only one vent in the kitchen and the warm afternoon sun streaming against the window the kitchen remained comfortable.
The price includes a return maintenance check in fall.  We do not yet know the effect on our utility bill.

It was a very positive experience. They explained to us exactly what the issues were and they corrected them. And they gave us information on how we can save with some of the other programs later on. They were very professional and did a good job. We are planning on using them again in the future.

They were very friendly and informative when they came to give me a quote. I got 4 different quotes and there was a cheaper one somewhere else but I was happier with the way they explained their product. I got another furnace from them years ago which is why I called them to quote on this project. They were just great as far as giving me the information, being very prompt and showing up on time. They also cleaned up afterwards and the installers were terrific; they were done in one day. They also came back a couple of times like they said they would to check to make sure everything was running right. They also come back once every year for five years to check on the new system. These checkups were included in the purchase price and their price was very competitive.

I called to set up an appointment. A representative came out and gave us an estimate. He was not pushy or trying to make us buy his service. We set up a time for work to begin and they showed up promptly. Took a lot of care when entering our home by covering their feet, etc. Was very conscious of their surroundings. After the young man looked at the old furnace, he confirmed what the rep had told us. He then said he could repair it, but could not in all honesty say how long it would last. We knew the furnace was old, so we gave the go ahead to replace the furnace. The young man took his time and performed his installation like a doctor in surgery. When he was finished, we talked about how it was done, the warranty etc. There were no hidden repair fees, we received the bill for what we had agreed upon. He also took the old furnace with him, and cleaned up after himself, nothing was left behind. We received a card in the mail when our one year inspection was due. We set up a time and they promptly came out and did the inspection. Just a great team of people.

They were very neat and very clean. Their service was excellent. We had no complaints. We were very happy with them. They had to install a different unit because we do not have any air ways, any forced air. It worked really nice. They did not have to tear the house apart or anything. They used some in the basement, and they came into the attic. They are a very honest company, and the workmen were all extremely friendly, helpful, and explained everything very thoroughly. We felt that their price was adequate for what they did. It might have been a little high, but not too high. I highly recommend them.

Everything works.  This is a new house and furnace (first gas furnace) to me.  The serviceman was very patient and helpful in answering my questions.

Everything went as planned.  They are clean, pleasant, and punctual.  I have been doing business with this company and its predecessor for 35 years and plan to continue.

I woke up the day after returning home from vacation to a 50 degree house. I had the day off, so I got on Angie's list and found a local heating & cooling company in my neighborhood. The person who answered the phone was very courteous and responsive. The technician arrived at the expected time and was very professional. He quickly found the problem and fixed it for the short term per my request, he also went out of his way to research the cost estimate for a full replacement that will eventually be necessary. He didn't mind when I hovered and asked questions, and he didn't object when I went to do chores in the house.
The experience was gratifying overall. I would recommend this company, and plan to use them again when I do need to do more extensive repair work in future.

I called Christensen & Winslet after quickly reading through reviews on the internet. The repair person came shortly before 5 pm. He did a diagonistics on the furnace and it was the inducer motor, which I might add is the most expensive part. He had to see if they had the part at the shop which they did . He ran and got it, came back promptly and had the furnace up and running in a little over and hour. PROFESSIONAL< and GREAT SERVICE !!! They will be my HVAC team!!!!! Thanks!

It went as smooth as anything I have ever bought before.From picking out the right unit to having the unit put in.

We had a furnace that ran intermittently for a few weeks before it got to the point where I couldn't keep it running any longer.  CW was quick to come out and get the mini space heaters to us so we wouldn't freeze.  It took just a few days to get the new furnance installed and running.
A year later, everything has been great, as expected, and aside from having to replace the furnace, we're happy.

They're awesome! When we have something wrong they are here witnin half a day. They came and fixed a portable a/c unit for us that we had for about 21 years, we had air conditioning about 3 hours after they came out and got this fixed! They are oustanding!

They are neat and tidy. They come when they say they will come. They don't try to talk you into stuff. If something is going wrong, but it doesn't need to be fixed yet, they don't tell you to fix it right away. They are polite, and they clean up after themselves.

They started 4 days after the estimate was approved because their supply warehouse is in Neenah.  Any extra parts they needed they could get right away.  There was no waiting time.  The work was done in three days just as they estimated.  We have no negatives.  The price was a bit high but their service is well worth it in the long run.

The technician was on time, knowledgeable and professional.  The estimate for the whole house humidifer was reasonable, and is being installed within a few weeks.

Our technician was terrific; very informative. He even told us of a recall on one of the parts in our furnace to watch out for.

We spent about $30 service call, but I don’t remember off hand what it was for the heater. Their services went great. They actually came in and looked at our old unit. They gave us a rundown of how much it was going to cost to repair it and they not say that they could not do it. They could, but it was just the matter of fact that it was going to suck more energy and was going to cost us more to actually keep it and repair it then to replace the unit. We did a lot of price checking and they seemed to come up with the best deal and because they responded so quickly we went with them.
