Unethical and Retaliatory business. Wow. What a horrible experience. Quick recap (yes, this drama is still going). *Typical is to replace electrical. $350. Same repairs for 40 years. *This guy does a repair stating not sure how the pump runs without his fix. $950. *Call to talk about the high price and see what happened. Always makes excuses - his repairs, the cost, what was done. *I left this poor review below. HE THEN REPORTS AN UNKNOWN DEFECT TO THE DNR AS A UNCOMPLIANT WELL! Clear and unethical retaliation! I now have a huge fix and repair bill that I am required to make due to this company's actions. *After this, I have filed a BBB Complaint, and reported this behavior to the licensing bureau of WI. Copies can be found online or I can send the evidence and dialog. In summary - Poor Customer service, Retaliatory and Unethical, and if things go well for your repairs you may be OK other than paying high prices. If not, you had better hope your system is fully up to code - this company will go after you. There are much better choices for these services. Original post below. Second time out to the well pit. First time, he looked at the well and replaced the electrical and said that’s why the pump was running – a couple years ago. Reasonable. It’s been a couple years. I left a message when he was on vacation – no response when he returned. I called again – no response. I texted Kurt and then he said he would come over. This time, he comes out with his $250,000 truck and lifts the well up 3 times and says that there are no bleeder valves which was the problem: Why wasn’t this brought up the first visit? He lifts the well and lowers it – too long. Repeat – still too long ($$$). One more time – that fixed it. (Not sure – his story changed from the first time he was out to the well) 2.5 hours later at $200 per hour (!!!), he says we won’t have any more problems. I asked if he checked the electrical and he said no. (Full disclosure: There was a snake down in the well pit – he didn’t want to go down, so he decided to fix it using my wallet!). I wish he would have asked if we wanted this VERY EXPENSIVE service before he spent so much time and my money on routine maintenance! I called to discuss the bill – no response. I called again and the receptionist was rude and abusive. Kurt called finally after my two calls and basically said that I could divide the cost up among others and his prices were needed to keep his truck and business running. He is looking after himself and not the customer. Poor customer service, poor communications, and a poor experience. Avoid

"Since this site does not allow me to explain in detail, I am going to summarize. To see full comments visit the BBB site. I have explained to the customer why the repair I made was necessary for his system to operate correctly. The day of the repair the customer’s father was onsite. His father was on the phone to the customer during the repair. The customer comments “I wish he would have asked if we wanted this VERY EXPENSIVE service before he spent so much time and my money on routine maintenance!” The customer had the opportunity to ask what the cost may be or have his father ask me, because he was on the phone to his father. Not routine maintenance because of the repair required. The customer insists it was an electrical problem because he states for 40 years that was the problem. The first time I was at this property was 2 yrs ago; it was the control, an electrical issue, I replaced, the system filled the tank and turned off, the system did not cycle on and off to indicate an issue with bleeders. This time it was not an electrical issue because the system was running but it was cycling on and off. If an electrical issue the system would not have ran at all. This required pulling the pump up 7 ft. and when I did, bleeders had not been installed. To add the bleeders, it required adding onto the existing pipe to install the bleeders and when I reset the pump down, it hit the bottom of the Well and so I had to remove some pipe each time. The third time I was able to set the pump at the correct depth. The system now operates correctly. Invoice: he was billed for a service call, 2.5 hours labor and parts. He received water tests, a $200 value at no charge. His complaint; my hourly rate and the non-compliant pit: he received copies of the DNR code regarding proper construction. He can contact the DNR; have them come out, inspect his pit and give suggestions on what to do to bring it to code. He is requesting a full refund and me to cover the cost to upgrade his 40 yr. old pit which I did not construct."

Kurt contacted her and was there within 48 hours even though it was at the far extreme of his range. He was able to get the pump and well working in a few hours and I could not believe how low his invoice was. He was a 'god send' - as she had not had water for 6 weeks and she and her animals were suffering. Thank you Kurt for coming to our rescue.

First, the call with the main phone went good. She was patient and asked bunch of questions to see what the overall process would look like and was knowledgeable about the basic troubleshooting and then passed the information to Kurt who was on a job at the moment. He called me as soon as he was done and came over right away (previous job was 50+ miles from my house) and was able to solve the problem (replaced the pressure gauge) and teach me some basic maintenance of the system within half an hour. I couldn't have asked for better service and will definitely call if there are any other jobs I have in the future.

Well pump went out on Friday evening with no water being drawn from the private well. Called three other local well repair shops on Saturday and got phone messages and no call backs. Sunday, in desperation I called a Well Pump Guy and the phone was answered by a real person. Kurt called me back within 15 minutes and had me try a few things over the phone. Even though my location is well over an hours drive, Kurt loaded up his rig and came to make the repair. Kurt, was very professional and diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 15 minutes. What I thought was going to be an expensive well pump replacement became a control box repair. Could not be happier! Great service!

Our water stopped working on the 4th of July!  Tried to fix myself hoping it was just the control box. It didn't work so I called Kurt at 6pm on the 4th of July and he answered!  Trouble shot with me a little over the phone and came out 1st thing the next morning. Our pump went bad (40 years old). He tried to remove the pump but it was jammed. Time for a new well with a $10,000 price tag?  Not on Kurt's watch!  I don't know how many hours he spent trying to pull the pump out, but it was a lot. The pump is in our basement in a small room so he didn't have much to work with. After hours and hours of trying, he got it out and replaced it. He saved us $7-8000 because he was willing to go the extra mile. My little kids loved him and he even threw the ball for my dog!  Very  happy with the work and recommend him to all.

Kurt replaced the well pump promptly, we called at 8 in the morning he was here within 2 hours and replaced with quality products. He also came back to install a water filter. Not only did he do fast and prompt service he also explained the things he did in a way that, both, me and my husband could understand. I definitely will be calling Mr. Goltz back again for any plumbing or well related services in the future. 2 thumbs up.

Kurt is 100% professional and punctual. He also is a great problem solver and I would recommend him to anyone. He spent a bunch of man hours figuring out how to fix our problem and when it came down to it he is a true hero. Everyone else told me that I would have to drill a new well and spend thousands upon thousands to get the same result that Kurt got us from the existing well. Great Job....
