IQ Construction and Remodeling

I hired Jason O"Brien to replace the roofing as well as 13 sheets of plywood that had major water damage on the roof covering my deck. The job he did was a disaster, looks terrible and after being inspected will NOT pass inspection. He laid some of the plywood the wrong direction on the beams as well as broke some shingles and then just stuffed others over it. He left my deck and steps covered in debri and lots of nails so I was unable to use them without the danger of slipping and falling. While he was on my roof, he got angry at my neighbors for playing very loud music from 9 am to 3 pm and stood up and emptied his nail gun in the direction of the party/barbecue they were having and said he had a friend from his past that he should contact and send over to "take care of them". Later, he aimed the nail gun at his daughter who was on the roof helping and told her to do something. She refused so he fired a nail towards her that I heard zing past and then aimed the gun towards her again and said "the next one goes in the forehead". She still did not do what he said and the conflict ended. He had his 15 year old son helping carry packages of 3 tab roofing up a ladder to him and the child was almost pulled off the ladder backwards from the weight. He had him come up on the roof to help also. Later, he had his daughters boyfriend come to pick up the debri to haul off. He had him get the gutters that he was installing ready. There were 11 gutters taken up on the roof by him, but only 2 were installed and 2 left on the roof. Somehow the 7 gutters were removed from the roof and my property that day in the boyfriends truck along with the roofing and other debri. I purchased those gutters and it was not his right to throw them away. They were not a part of the cost for the roofing job. So as far as I am concerned he stole my gutters. Last night someone walked through my gate and stole my 5 downspouts that I had purchased to complete the job. Not saying it was him as I have no proof, but who else would have known they were there. I had another contractor check out the roof job and he said it was a total disaster and shoddy work. I immediately fired Jason and demanded my money back. He told he he is not responsible for lost materials to look at my contract, every time I mentioned things that werre wrong he would say to look at my contract. He told me I had to sign a paper saying I would not hold him responsible for the job he did nor contact L&I or his bonding company and hold them responsible and he would return my money. I signed it and got my money back. He also stepped on several of my flowers in my flower bed that were not in his way and threw stuff off the roof crushing more of them. These are bulb type flowers that get up to 30 inches tall. If you are wondering why I was not aware of the quality of his work, I am elderly and have very limited mobility so was not able to inspect it myself. He also lied several times and disappeared for up to 11 days doing other jobs without completing the job I hired him for as well as ignoring phone calls and text messages.
