Excellent work, no longer Gravbrot, new folks in charge. He was with them before taking over the business. Great business hours, ready to help with issues that come up.

Terrible! The work was inferior. The temporary crown did not resemble my other tooth. Dr. Gravbrot was very rude and unprofessional when I complained about the temporary crown. He told me I would not be charged but charged me anyway. The poorly fitted crown also caused a bad gum infection and fell out after about a week I refused to pay for the "service", and it was turned over to collections However, I won the case at the court hearing. I was also told it was a case of dental malpractice.

Dr. Mark V. Gravbrot is very good, very thorough, he has a nice office, he does sedation dentistry for people who are afraid of the dentist and I would say he is just a pleasant person.

I had an appointment to have a front tooth crown replaced.  A young dental assistant was actually the one who made the temporary crown.  When I asked for a mirror, the temporary crown looked like something from a horror movie set, and did not even remotely resemble the size or shape of the tooth next to it.  It was very large and boxy.  I was in shock, and said something like, "This looks terrible, I can't leave with it looking like this", and further expained I worked with the public.
The young dental assistant left the room and came back with another young assistant. She examined the crown, and I explained to her the crown was huge and boxy, and did not resemeble the other tooth.  The second assistant then called Dr. Gravbrot, who entered the room appearing hurried and angry.  Dr. Gravbrot examined he crown, and angrily stated, "What's wrong with it?  I don't see anything wrong with it".  For the third time, I explained the crown was big and boxy, and did not resemble the tooth next to it, and that  I worked with the public and could not go to work looking like I did.  Dr. Gravbrot got even more annoyed, and said he was going to get some tool, and if that didn't fix it, "Then you can go to another dentist, and you won't be charged for today".  He then retrieved some type of filing tool to sand the huge and boxy crown down.  However, while doing this, he kept angriy barrating me saying things like, "Why didn't you go to your employer (I worked for a community medical, dental, and mental health care provider) to do the job?  The tooth looks fine to me,  I bet you have your bad days too. Some people are never satisfied", etc., etc., all while he was filing the crown down.  I sat frozen, shaking, close to tears, and unable to respond.  When Dr. Gravot finished filing down the crown, he gave me a mirror.  Although I was relieved that it look somewhat better, I told him, "Dr. Gravbrot I can excuse your assistant for her poor work today, however, I cannot forgive your behavior today.  Dr. Gravbrot responded, "Then walk right out of here, and don't come back" while he stormed out of the room!  One of his assistant's came into the room and told me she would walk me to the front desk to schedule an appointment for the when the permanent crown came in.  I told her, "No thanks, I will never come back here.  I'm going to take Dr. Gravbrot's advice".  The assistant said, "I don't blame you, I wouldn't let anyone talk to me like that either".
The tooth was so poor fitting, I developed a really bad infection, and had to go to a medial provider for an anti-biotic.  I also lost a total of 20 lbs in a two and half week period due not being able to eat. because of the infection. Shortly after that, the crown fell out, and I had to go to another dentist and start from square one - another temporarily crown, etc., etc.
A couple of weeks later I received a bill from Dr. Gravbrot office for approxiately $1200.  I contacted my insurance provider by phone and I also wrote them a letter requesting they not pay Dr. Gravbrot, and why.  I also called Dr. Gravbrot's office and explained to the billing clerk that Dr. Gravbrot had told me I would not be charged for that day, his telling me to never go back, the medical issues the crown caused, etc.  She told me she would look into it, and get back to me.  However, I was billed again, and when I wrote back refusing to pay the bill explaining again my horrendous experiene, including the infection I ended up getting due to the ill-fitting crown, they turned it over to a collection agency.  I explained via a phone call and a letter that I would not pay the bill and why.  The collection agency filed a judgement against me; they didn't seem to care that Dr. Gravbrot told me I wouldn't be charged for his sub-standard work and abusive behavior.  Fortunately, the judge listened to my story, reviewed my medical bills, etc., and dismissed the judgement against me. This terrible  experience, however, caused me a whole lot of stress for a year (from the time of the office visit till the judgemet against me was dismissed), "general dental anxiety", money - time off work, and doctor visit for the infection as well as trust issues.

I interviewed a number of dental offices in the Yakima area and decided to give the Gravbrot Dental Clinic a try.  At the time, they were one of a few clinics that had a good review on Angie's List. Another criteria was that they accepted a low cost dental plan (not insurance) that offered an acceptable level of fees for various procedures. It was amazing to find that they actually charge what is considered average for the area rather than higher fees other clinics quoted me. The other was that they have a friendly staff and modern facilities. My family and I have been using this office for over a year now and are satisfied with their service.

He seems to be good and does a fine job.  He took care of my problems.  They are very busy and efficient.  It seems to be a very busy office.  The only issue I have with them is that I think they are a little expensive.  I'm thinking about changing dentists because they are just a little expensive but I've been happy with their work.  Any work that's not covered by insurance gets a little expensive.

Excellent! All has been very satisfactory. The office communicates well with insurance companies for appropriate payment, and determining co-pays, etc. The staff is very amiable, friendly, and helpful. I intend to remain a long-term patient.

Over all everything went well. They were considerate of my anxiety and problem with needles. However one of my crowns has never felt right and they want me to pay for them fix it.
