Volt-Tech Electrical Services

Volt-Tech wasn't even polite and responsive enough to reply "yay or nay" to my email asking for help with our hot tub which was not getting power to it. We decided to go with a different electrical company. I'm glad Volt-Tech is doing well enough to ignore potential customers, though. Good for them.

They came over right away. They were very courteous and efficient. They were just really nice guys. I would trust them with my whole house.

They dealt with a problem very professionally. I was impressed.

I called Volt-Tech for an estimate to replace some knob and tube wiring and install some new lighting fixtures in my basement. The estimator showed up on time, was professional and offered plenty of suggestions. He seemed more than willing to work with us. We were hoping they would get the work but we found significant savings with another A-grade Angies List contractor so we went with them. If it was a comprable estimate I would have chosen Volt-Tech.

The original estimate ($2600.00 + tax and permits) was only for the replacement of the breaker box and outlets. Upon further inspection seriously damaged and potentially dangerous wiring was found in the mast leading from the service entrance to the meter. The meter was also not rated for the amount of power we were upgrading to. They did the additional work for only $800.00 more and did an excellent job on the install. In addition Jason sold me a bathroom fan at a discount. The electricians that he sent were friendly and willing to explain everything in detail. The only thing they did that I didn't like was the box of garbage left behind. That was really nothing big as I was headed to the dump the next day. I would highly recommend Jason and his team and I will use them for any electrical work that I have done in the future.

Volt Tech was willing to squeeze me in on a very busy day for them, for a very tiny job. To my housemate, having no power in his room at all was a very big deal. As soon as I explained that Jason tried calling around to find someone who was available to do the job. When he could not find anyone he came out himself and was here in 20 min.! I am used to getting the 'brush off' for small jobs, I was so so amazed to be treated like a VIP. And it was under $100.

They did the work pretty well. We had a bit of a communication problem with them as for who was going to haul away the old electrical master at the other construction garbage. So, we ended up hauling it away ourselves which wasn’t what we expected. But, apparently they said that it was a part of their customs and we just didn’t know that.

Jason did a great job doing the work for us. He was a bit late, but once here, worked quickly. We have been using the outlets and lights for a few years and nothing has gone wrong.

Volt Tech was a great contractor. They did an excellent job on the project, caused very little damage to our living areas, cleaned up well, were professional, and did what they could to accommodate changes that occurred. Some of the contractors that bid the project were very worried about the lathe and plaster walls and that we were going to be in the house during the work. One contractor even said "it wasn't fair to his workers, and would cause me to have marriage problems." However Volt-Tech was unfazed by it. Right after the project began my wife had a miscarriage, and was at home through most of the project. They were sympathetic, friendly, and gave her the space she needed to deal with the event while still getting their work done. We couldn't have asked more from them.

I was very pleased with their work. Jason and his crew were a pleasure to work with, arrived on time each day as expected and cleaned up the job site as best the could before they left each night. The job was done to our satisfaction, including some unexpected bumps along the way. Some stuff we had thought was converted to new wire had not been but Jason's crew identified it, reported it to me, and sought approval to move forward with completing that work at an additional charge. Scheduling was a bit odd, but otherwise no problems. I had received an estimate and told him I wanted to move forward. Then I didn't hear anything for quite awhile, but after following up this was identified as being a result of the hot summer conditions and not being able to work in an attic in those conditions. One minor problem was found after the work was completed, but Jason responded the same day he was contacted and the problem was resolved the next morning.

Jason was one of four electricians that gave us bids. His estimate was fair, & he was good about laying out the steps to complete our job. He is easy going & very professional. We would hire him again without hesitation. Our need for a service panel upgrade was complex to determine. We recently added on a second floor to our home & thought 200 amps would be plenty of power to spare. Due to our electric appliances/hot tub & extensive lighting layouts, further upsizing seemed necessary. Since my partner & I are pretty good with electrical calculations & wiring already, we needed an expert to guide us & fix the problem we thought we saw. Jason went over our calculated electrical loads & helped us figure out a creative solution that the inspector complimented & we are very happy with. As amateur DIYers, he was great to work with. He had answers, & when questions arose, he cleared everything with the inspectors before the work began. He's a tradesman that takes pride in his work! 3 Cheers!

Jason and Jeremy arrived on time, took down the old light and installed the new one. They were polite, answered the questions I had and cleaned up after themselves.

Jason was very friendly, knowledgeable, & easy to talk to. I felt I had made the right choice in calling him.

Jason and Jeremy were kind and helpful, and they were honest about what needed to be done, because they didn't do anything that wasn't necessary. They also advised when I should replace the fan myself and also consulted on how to ground our outlets, which we'll call them to do.

Jason and his colleague, Jeremy, showed-up on time and did an excellent job. They're clean, professional, good communicators, and they were very accommodating in every way. Jason also has a great eye which came in handy with positioning of the lighting, determining wattage needs, etc. Simply excellent customer service and just solid, honest guys that you'd be happy to have in your home. And, their pricing is very fair. I'll definitely use Volt-Tech again, and highly recommend them for lighting and electrical work.

Jason did a great job for a fair price. His fee was almost half of other bids we received. I went with him because of the recommendations he received on this list and was surprised at his price which he quoted to me the day he arrived to do the job. We had no problems with his work. He was courteous, clean and conscientious. Amazing!

Jason and Jeremy were always on time and worked hard to complete this project. They were very diligent about doing good work and didn't get frustrated when they ran into complications or unique situations that occur more frequently in older homes. They were friendly, trustworthy, polite and responsive to any concerns or questions I had. I received several bids for this job and the price from Volt-Tech was very competitive. If I need an electrician in the future, I would call on Volt-Tech again immediately.

JASON WAS GREAT! SOME OF THE WIRING IN MY RENTAL HOUSE WAS DONE BY THE PRIOR OWNER AND IS A WILD MESS. JASON FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM AND GOT THE DRYER WORKING (ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT, SAID IT WAS ''FINE'', AND THAT THE DRYER DIDN'T WORK - HA!). HE ALSO DID THE WORK QUICKLY AND CHARGED ME ABOUT HALF WHAT ANOTHER COMPANY WANTED FOR THE JOB. IN ADDITION, HE GAVE ME A GOOD BID FOR A FUTURE JOB. I PLAN TO USE JASON'S SERVICE AGAIN.

WE COULD NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT JASON. HE'S ON-TIME, FRIENDLY (MY KIDS LOVED HIM), FULL OF GREAT ADVICE AND HONEST. JASON REALLY KNOWS HIS ELECTRICAL BUT DOES NOT EVER ''TALK DOWN'' TO YOU. I OFTEN ASKED HIS ADVICE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND VOLT-TECH AND JASON. HE IS AN A++ AND I PLAN ON USING HIM AGAIN FOR OTHER PROJECTS.
