My bathroom is very small and only 59 inches wide. The cabinet that was in there was too short and too wide. I couldn't even open one of the cabinets because it hit the toilet. It was ugly, useless for any kind of storage and took up a huge amount of space in so small a bathroom. My cabinet request was tricky because I wanted it 18" wide to get some space in that teeny tiny bathroom. Dave came to my home, measured and discussed what I wanted. I wanted a very small cabinet in the middle and very wide deep drawers on the sides. I wanted it to be kitchen height. The result was a beautiful cabinet that really finished the bathroom look. They even custom cut the toe kick for me so I didn't have to put an ugly vent register there. His installation team was on time AND left the area clean. The cabinet doors are soft close. Other bids for this cabinet came in closer to three thousand dollars. I wish I could add pictures to show how beautiful this turned out.

My wife and I embarked on a remodel of our 20-year old home.  The remodel included the downstairs portion of the house -- kitchen, breakfast nook and family room -- by adding only 6 feet onto the back of the house; 240 sq ft total.



We selected Lacasse Custom Homes as our builder and Len Lacasse recommended Dave Dahl with Sundowner Products for the custom kitchen cabinets.



With Dave's 40+ years of cabinet making experience, we agreed on a frameless design, cherry wood stained ever so slightly with a pecan color.  The cabinets themselves are solid wood on all six sides, constructed of maple veneer plywood.  Dave uses only the highest quality hinges and glides, all self closing.



I purchased a Vent-a-Hood insert and Dave designed the wood surround for this.  My wife is very particular about how the end product will look and Dave listened, suggested, and was receptive to all ideas.  His willingness to work with the property owner is his strongest attribute.



We also had Dave provide wood panels for the Sub Zero refrigerator.  They are beautiful.



Dave's suggestions for drawers versus cabinets with roll out shelves was perfect.



The remodel, with a completely updated kitchen, beautiful granite countertops, and upscale appliances, has increased the market value of our home.  The cabinets are the showcase.



I would definitely recommend Dave Dahl and Sundowner Products to anyone who asks.

From tear out to functional kitchen took two weeks.
this included removing a wall, reworking the plumbing, and the kitchen electrical.
Total job took 3 weeks.
Both the contractor (tear out and wall work) done by Ron Colwill Const. and Dave Dahl of the cabinet shop were always available and would drop by to see if everything was ok.
Outstanding service from both of them.
