I emailed the company with pictures of the damaged chairs and asked for estimate. Tim got back to me immediately with a quote. He was great to work with. Answered all my questions. I dropped the chairs off on a Wednesday and they were ready by Friday. Picked them up and I was amazed how wonderful they looked. The vinyl was such a good match to the chair seats. They look brand new again. Quality workmanship. Definitely recommend this company.

Upholstering is very expensive, but I loved my Baker couch so decided to recover. Tim did a great job. Quick and efficient. However, the fabric I picked started fraying after only a couple of months. I contacted Tim. He immediately reassured me that he would contact the fabric manufacturer to get the fabric replaced; and would redo the couch at no charge. And that is exactly what happened...again quick and efficient. Tim is a talented, honest craftsman who stands behind his work. How rare is that these days?!

Is there a word stronger than "amazing"? I can't think of one, but whatever it is, that's the word for Tim and Michael at S & S Upholstery. They responded quickly to my messages and phone calls, and took the time to thoroughly explain the process. They never upcharged or pressured me, but made their professional & experienced opinions known when I was making decisions. I had the fabric and foam replaced and some of the webbing as well; the foam keeps the Modern shape that I love, but is incredibly comfortable to sit on. I splurged for a stain guard on the fabric as well as wood refurbishment (different than refinishing). It was expensive overall, but I think the quality was completely worth it.

I emailed the company with photos of the project. Tim replied very quickly and gave me a quote for everything but the fabric. I went to the showroom and chose fabric. They picked up the chairs from my home and completed the job in three weeks, much sooner than the estimated time. The chairs look great and they are so much more comfortable! Thanks!

The 3 jobs were done superbly and very quickly. I was very impressed with their professionalism, the timeliness and quality of their work. Tim was great in helping to select appropriate fabric. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Great! The chairs are good quality, but the upholstery was over 20 years old. Once we chose the fabric Tim ordered it and had the chairs done and delivered within two weeks. He also cleaned up the wood and got rid of some marks gratis! They are so much more comfortable now, and the cost was significantly less than a quote I got from another company. Nice people, good work, very professional.

This was a VERY small job, had an existing chair pad that matched some curtains and the padding was shot. Cushion was repaired with better than original padding in a timely, professional and cost effective manner.

Excellent workmanship in padding the seats and backs for a more comfortable fit, precision sewing in the covering, and restoring the wood so they look brand new. We appreciated the pleasant, prompt service and the fact that the price included Guardian protection applied to the chairs and round trip pick up and delivery.

S and S Upholstery were wonderful to work with.  I got a timely response from Tim to my email request for a quote for labor to reupholster a sleeper sofa (sent photo and couch dimensions).  The labor quote was competitive, and the free pickup and delivery sealed the deal.  Michael at the Lake City showroom listened to what we said we wanted in a fabric and spent a lot of time showing us samples until we finally found some that met our criteria.  We selected one of the fabrics and appreciated the discount for Angie's List members. The pickup and delivery of the sofa went smoothly, and the work was completed within the time estimate.  Most importantly, the sofa looks and feels terrific.  

I got estimates from four different places recommended on Angie's List. One other was in the same price range as S and S, while two were half the price. I'm a believer in paying for quality craftsmanship and wondered whether the two very cheap ones would result in the same level of work. But what tipped things in favor of S and S was that Tim took the time to send a very detailed and clearly knowledgeable estimate. That level of care and attention to detail carried on throughout the remainder of the process. I got good advice when selecting fabric that met my needs and the look I wanted, my chairs were finished in the time frame promised (about 2 weeks), and the finished work is absolutely beautiful. They paid meticulous attention to restoring the chairs to their former beauty and everyone who has seen them has commented on how nice they look!

They were great!  I called and left a message.  Within just a few minutes, Tim called me back. I described what I wanted and sent him a picture of the chair.  He quickly saw the issues that might come up, asked some questions, gave me a quote, and told me to bring it in anytime.  When I did, Michael talked to me about the trim--he even whipped up an example on the sewing machine to show me how it would look so I could make some choices!   The chair was done in a week.  It looks wonderful!  I would use them again and recommend them to friends.  I only rated the price a B because it is expensive to do have this done, but the result was worth it!

Great service!  I emailed Tim about my sofa cushions that needed new stuffing, and within a couple of hours had a reply.
After calling one other place for comparison,  I decided on S&S because of their lower price and the good reviews and the quick reply to my email.
The other place would have cost me $100.00 more and they said they would have to keep my cushions for 1-2 weeks.
Tim at S&S said I could have my cushions back in just a few days, so I dropped them off on Thursday and got them back on Saturday!  They look GREAT!  I am so happy with the work and the professionalism of S&S Upholstery.  I would definitely recommend them (already have), and I would use them again.  It's an expensive job, but I think it will cost some $$$ no matter where you go.
