1) One shade was measured incorrectly and needed to be reordered
2) The valences we requested apparently do not go with the kind of shades we ordered. Upon installation pieces were missing and needed to be reordered.
3) One set of valences and keystones were 'offset' so the keystone was 1/3 of the way to the right. But all were suppose to be in the center? Had to be re-reordered a second time.
4) Installation fellow was quite nice but one of the shades fell down after the second installation and had to be readjusted.
5) This complaint falls into a bit of a grey territory: The color of the shades are not to my liking. However they are the color we ordered so we have left this alone. But, I would caution, that the sample size provided to illustrate color is approximately 3" by 6" and is in no way representative of what you get.
6) Owner personally came to install the shades on the second and third time but I found him to be quite condescending and patronizing for what I felt were very valid frustrations on my part. Especially when it came to the 'offset' one. He kept saying, "Give it a few days and I think you'll like it". But honestly, why would the keystone be offset? I have never seen that. They are always center window.
I had to take off several days of work to accommodate the installation adding to my frustration for their inability to complete the order.
Lesson Learned: Do not go through Costco and have little recourse for mistakes made by the contractor. We ordered the shades on July 19th, the order was placed on July 25th and finally, on November 21. After much hassle and squeaky wheel complaining to Costco I was able to get some money back. However, it was definitely not worth working with Costco or Infinity Windows.
I placed an order for a curtain rod in February and was told it would take two weeks to receive. After four weeks and no word from the company I finally called and asked what was going on. The employee I spoke with would constantly deflect blame to other people in the office or come up with some excuse regarding why things were taking longer than promised. I was told that because the "sun was starting to come out" there was a huge number of orders that were backed up but that mine had shipped and should be arriving from a facility on the East Coast within the next five business days. After five days and no response I called and spoke with the same employee and this time I was told that they were certain the rod had just shipped from the East Coast and should be arriving in two to three business days. After three days and no response I again called and was told (again by the same employee), "we think your curtain rod is at our distribution facility in Portland". After asking the employee about the excuses with respect to shipping schedule, the location of the rod, and why things were taking so long I was told this wasn't her area (installation and shipping are handled by somebody else). I asked them to get back to me within 24 hours to tell me for sure what was going on. This time they actually did call me back, but it was to tell me that they found my curtain rod in an unmarked box in their warehouse in Woodinville. I was told it had been there for over two weeks but because it was in an unmarked box, they didn't know to whom it belonged. So I guess all the information about shipping and backorders and so forth wasn't true? Who knows?
After waiting for over a month longer than the promised delivery date, they called and setup an installation date but did not offer to install immediately (though I did not push for that either). We scheduled a delivery date another week and a half out. When the date came, the guys did a great job with the installation and we were pleased with the look of the end product. However, the frustration of working with Infiniti... never getting order updates, almost never getting a call back, having to constantly be the squeaky wheel, not getting honest, knowledgeable responses, and excuses, excuses, excuses, etc... was really grating. I will not work with them again.
Although the staff/owner partially botched the selling details, they were very persistent and polite about finding a compromise solution. Honest people, I'd say, just a bit lacking in anitcipating details which might be important.
