FRED JUHOS PIANO TUNING & SERVICE

This is the fifth time I have used Fred Juhos. He is excellent, efficient and trustworthy. In the past he has done repairs on my piano even improvising a part because the manufacturer had gone out of business and parts were no longer available.

Fred was very professional and prompt, both on the phone and in person. Even after I screwed up our initial meeting time (which was totally my fault). I was more than comfortable inviting him into our home. He was very respectful of our space and the piano, and had it tuned within an hour. It was really fun to hear him playing some test music at the end...because it gave us a really good idea of how beautiful the instrument could sound (with practice and skill).
What was really nice, was he also went above and beyond! He told us about the general condition of the piano and what he generally looks for, and gave us background information (such as the condition of the strings, which had been replaced, and that the keys had been replaced/repaired at some point recently, etc). For everything we got...I feel it was a great rate for the tuning.
We'll definitely be going with Fred in the future.

Fred was very helpful and responsive to my needs on the phone. He was punctual and professional and added a personal touch by caring about the piano and sharing its capabillities, etc.

The service from Fred Juho's Piano Tuning and Service was great. The price was excellent and better than anybody else's. I left him a message and he called back right away. He was real flexible and came out within the week. He came out on time, called when he was on his way, and when he was working here he was so nice. We have two kids and while he was working he explained to them what he was doing. He was awesome and we will always use him. The piano is an old, old Ivors and Pond and was better than getting an electronic one.

We needed our baby grand piano tuned before Christmas and I emailed Fred
to see if he had availability. He responded almost immediately and said
that he would be passing by our house that same day and would that time
work, which was great! He was punctual and courteous when he arrived.
Took a look at the piano and gave me an estimate immediately before
starting. He finished when he said he would, provided me with some other
care and tips for the piano as well as suggestions for future care. 
The piano sounds great! We will definitely use him again in the future.

Fred Juhos came to our home and tuned the piano we'd purchased for our daughter for Christmas.

The first thing he did after shaking my hand was to take his shoes off before entering our home. He showed up on-time even though we've had 9 - 10 inches of snow in the past 24 hours! He did an initial assessment of the piano's tuning (we purchased the piano used and it was well out of tune), indicated prior to starting what it would cost to tune, performed the work in a very efficient and professional manner, and then charged what he quoted. He also provided an overall assessment of the piano and provided a recommended tuning interval. Additionally, at my request, he provided an assessment of the piano's value - I was curious since I had purchased the piano from a private party and wanted a professional opinion of its value.

Overall, Fred did a quality job at a very fair price. I would definitely recommend his services to others. Thanks!

Fred was able to schedule our tuning at a mutually convenient time only a few days from our initial contact.  He arrived on time and within an hour and 30 minutes had our piano sounding great.    Fred is a friendly,  personable guy,  a pleasure to have in our home.  

Fred showed up right on time and took about one hour to tune and voice our Kawai piano. He gave us a mini-concert to show off how great the piano sounded.

The piano had a messed up keyboard, it was an inch off the track and he managed to put everything back into order and tuning it. I was afraid we were looking at 1000 dollars just to get it repaired and he did a beautiful job at a reasonable price.

I bought a piano built in 1925.It needed some work besides tuning,and Fred did this work,and did it beyond my expectations.He was very professional,reasonable,and friendly.I am very pleased with how my piano plays now,and very pleased with Fred's work.

Fred was great. He pulled the front end of my piano apart and explained exactly what he needed to do. He gave me the option of doing some lower priority things next year which I really appreciated. I asked to be part of his "reminder" list for next year...so I'll get a postcard from him in the spring. When he left everything was cleaned up and put away. Overall it was a good experience and Fred is very knowledgeable.

The first time Fred tuned our piano, there was a jackhammer outside. Even with the noise interference, he did a wonderful job. He is polite, friendly, prompt, and very skilled. Since that time when he more than proved himself. We have had him tune our piano regularly. When I had a question between tunings about the piano's acoustics and placement, he replied promptly and was helpful. I like not only that he does a great job tuning our piano but scheduling has been easy as well.

Fred is very knowledgeable and new what to do even with our Czech Petrof upright. It is set up a little bit differently than other pianos and he let us know what he was doing as he did it.

FRED IS VERY PROMPT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT PIANOS AND SERVICING THEM. HE ALWAYS TOLD ME WHAT HE WAS DOING AND ALSO WHAT HE WOULD RECOMMEND WE DO IN THE FUTURE FOR UPKEEP OR UPGRADE OF OUR PIANO.
