Not a second in our consultation session with Eric was wasted. Eric is sharp, experienced, and easygoing. He recognized a lot of structural details at a glance. One minute, I was talking about some of my interests unintentionally, and within the next five minutes, he had a new design idea incorporating that. We love our new house but hadn’t stopped worrying because the floorplan doesn’t work for us. However, Eric was able to generate brilliant ideas to “tame” the house to our own so quickly that it finally put our minds at ease. Now, I know that meeting with the right architect is not only illuminating but can also be pleasant.

Eric provided us with an initial consult to generate some ideas for our impending remodel. We were thrilled with what he provided us. He has an uncanny ability to walk into a room and provide a vision that takes into account flow and makes sense. Possibilities opened up for us that we would not have considered if not for Eric's insight. One can almost see the wheels turning in his mind as he considers how to best utilize a space. Meeting with Eric helped us put together a plan for remodeling our house that made sense, given the unique challenges of our house's current design and local zoning regulations. It was a relief to have the help of an experienced architect to get us on track with a plan to fix these problems with our house. Throughout the experience, Eric considered our ideas and provided thoughtful explanations for the advice he offered in response to those ideas. I would recommend his services to anyone who is facing design challenges with their home. I would definitely hire him again.

It went perfect. I contacted Eric to set up an appointment for our bathroom design consultation. He was on time and listened to what we wanted to accomplish. He asked thoughtful questions and presented us with a couple of ideas that we hadn't even considered. After the appointment he drew the plans and we are now ready to contact contractors to get a remodel quote. It was definitely worth it.

We found Eric on Angie's List and after a quick email and phone call scheduled an appointment. The bad news was what we wanted to do was very expensive, and parts of it might not even be possible. Eric didn't stop there. He dug into what we needed and came up with a solution that made much more sense than our original idea. His solution is far better and far less expensive solution than what we had been assuming. It was a simple solution but on that had evaded us for almost 15 years. We were thrilled with his work and only wish we had a bigger project to see what he could do with something meatier.

I had a great experience with Eric. We've been discussing finishing the basement for over a year and really know what to do next. Eric unblocked us. He worked quickly and thoughtfully with us to create an outline plan for what we could with the space. He listened carefully, but had his own ideas about what would and wouldn't work. Eric was just fantastic; he had very creative ways to keep improve the flow of the house without having to completely requiring the overhaul of the structural element of the house. He has provided us with detailed insight that would help think which direction we should head with the remodel plans. We will absolutely hire Eric as we execute on it.

Eric really did not see more than the two options that we had already thought of (apart from expanding out), but crucially, was very helpful in doing the measuring and working through the problems of the house to help eliminate one of the two options and show us why one was preferable to the other for reasons of likely cost, Seattle Code compatibility, and usability of space. He spent the full Coupon-alotted time with us just discussing the space and options and doing some quick measurements, as well as looking at the rest of the house (we had a lot of ideas and enjoyed the benefit of his expert eye and passing comment on them, even if they weren't our top priority bathroom issue - this was helpful to us), and then he came back at an agreed upon additional hourly rate to measure and work up a computer-drawn design that we could take to a design-build firm, contractor, or interior designer. His drawing included re-configuring our kitchen layout, as well, as the 1/4 bath would go in space previously allotted to the kitchen. He was very prompt, good with scheduling when we could meet, presents very well, is very professional in his demeanor, has a great, positive attitude, and his return of the finished drawing was likewise prompt and as we had discussed. My only complaint would be that he does not do small, one-room jobs as an architect, except within his coupon offering; instead, he offers a full-house/full-plan design option at a substantially (and understandably) more costly rate, so people who would like to plan as they go and pay for the planning of certain rooms/parts of a project as they go (i.e., a kitchen design this year/ 3 years later, a bathroom and master, etc.) may not find this architect to be the best fit. In other words, if I wanted to move forward on the project he drew out, Eric wouldn't move forward with us as the architect on the project - so we'd have to hire another professional (who may or may not be able to work with Eric's design). That said, Eric was very up-front about this in his initial call with me - and that call was very comprehensive and he did not count that time against the time I had purchased with him. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I liked his design sense and quick response.

We were not happy. We did not like the ideas he came out with. He came out various times and did what he said he would do, but we were not really happy with the results. The price was fine. He is professional.

Drawings have now arrived. I was very happy with Eric's service. We are just outside his normal working area otherwise we would hire him for our next phase for sure. We will have to find someone closer, but we learnt so much from this brief experience with Eric. Highly recommended. Thanks Eric!

Eric came to our house to provide consulting services for our potential remodeling plan. He has a talent for design and architecture for both indoor and outdoor space. He is not the only one to discuss our plan with us, but the ideas that he provided are one of the bests that I heard in the past months. He sees things that others did not see and think out of the box. We generally discussed the front entry, the kitchen, the master bathroom/walk-in closet, the stairs, and the master bedroom. He then provided a drawings for the kitchen plan, which was included in the $320 coupon that I purchased. I definitely see the value that he provided. He also provided alternatively solutions to accommodate our budget. The only thing that I regret is that I did not purchase his coupon earlier.

Despite some issues with Angie's list, Eric and I managed to connect and his visit was extremely valuable and thought provoking. I am looking forward to the official sketches but I am already feeling like I made the right decision just based on all the ideas he came up with.

It was okay. We're still trying to get him to come back and finish the other half. He did the first visit for half the funds. The second half should be a sketch, design or a plan. He has been unresponsive since then. The first half working with him was good. He needs to follow-up with me. From the verbal consultation, he was really good.
