The service turned out very well. What stood out were their professionalism and promptness. After they completed the job, my husband went out one night and found that they had wired it the opposite way or something. So, my husband called immediately and they were back the next day to fix the problem. We did not have to wait.

Ted the owner bid out the job and was always extremely pleasant to work with. Guys who worked for him actually did the job though. Their lead on our project was fine, but his helpers who were considerably younger didn't seem to respect him, and they would yell at each other. We felt this was a little unprofessional overall, but it didn't seem to affect the work. They were able to put in all the outlets and lights as required. They did scratch one of our cabinets trying to cut a hole for an outlet, but other than that everything was good. Passed inspection, and we've been happily enjoying our kitchen ever since.

Work performed was satisfactory, however, was not complex or difficult at all. In fact, they didn't really do anything, nor fix anything. I ended up fixing the problem myself about a day later after doing some more troubleshooting on my own! The biggest problem I had with their service was the price they charged me. They sent 2 technicians out (one who was in training), who were at my house for a total of about 20-25 minutes, yet charged me a full hour labor for each. Definitely overcharged for the service they provided!

The owner, Ted, was very easy to work with and was very responsive. He returned my calls quickly, scheduled the job right way, let me know that the two-man crew would be about 15 minutes late, and called afterwards to arrange the electrical inspection and check on the work performed. The crew was professional and helpful. The only mishap was that they blew a dimmer, but they installed a temporary one and returned a few days later to install the one selected. In addition, the crew was able to do the wiring without putting any holes in the sheetrock (a nice surprise), and they went beyond the job and fixed a couple of dead outlets in the room. Cottage Electric's bid was a little higher, but the extra cost was worth the higher level of comfort I had with the company and the great level of service they provided.
