They are great. The bid quote was the quote no surprises fees during the installation. The estimate for how long it would take was right on target, and you barely knew the crew was there, they just worked away and cleanup when they were done. Everyone I interacted with was super nice, I am really glad I chose Austin Irrigation.

The installation went very well. They laid underground lines in an established garden and were able to restore the beds and pathways to perfect condition. No quibble with this part at all. For 10 years I relied on them to turn the system on in the spring and check sprinkler heads, and winterize it in the fall. Then in late spring this year they abruptly sent a letter saying they were no longer serving my area. The gardens were already in need of watering by the time the letter arrived, but they refused to come out. I had just had surgery and it was stressful to try to find a new irrigation contractor on short notice. All the contractors I called were already busy with spring activations, so I had to get down on hands and knees 8 weeks after a knee replacement to turn the system on. I felt it was very unprofessional to give such short notice of this change after a 10-year business relationship.

I'm continuing to use them. I've used them for 20 years. They do an excellent job. They are busy and it may take a while for them to get to you, but they are more than competitive when it comes to pricing. I use them for sprinklers and landscape work.

Bill Austin came to our home and talked us through the various areas of our yards. The yards are oddly shaped and back up to wetlands so it was quite a challenge. We had some artificial turf in our side dog yard and he gave us options as to how we could run the system from front to back without disturbing this turf. His workers were quick, did not leave a mess or holes that we could fall in (since this was a several day job). Bill was on the job each day, supervising his workers. We were thrilled with the difference this system made to our scattered plantings.
The system has a rain detector so the sprinklers don't go if it rains. Really a nice water saver.
In October, his crew came by one morning (with an appointment) and winterized the system.
We were very pleased with Bill and his crew. We are considering having him install a lighting system in the back yard!

Excellent service and professional work. It started with a very responsive office staff to schedule the estimate and then the work and continued with a very thorough and knowledgeable assessment of the work that needed to be done. The team showed up promptly as scheduled, kept me up to speed throughout the day and then walked me through what had been done to ensure the work met my expectations. Quality work at a fair price. I'd definitely recommend them!

The initial installation was fine, seemed a little pricey but I didn't get any other bids. They also gave me a four year warranty on the system, which is still in force. It all worked well except for the drip hoses in the garden beds, which were a little patchy in their coverage, and have gradually gotten worse. My wife is an avid gardener so I decided to do something about the beds. In June of this year one of their workers came out to make some minor adjustments to the sprinkler heads and look at the garden beds. He recommended upgrading the system, said it would be a simple job with a different kind of hose. I tried to get them to come out again to give me the details, an estimate and do the work. Since they presumably would be upgrading the system I thought there might be a small charge for the new materials. They gave me one tentative date which we couldn't accommodate as we were out of town. Since then, about a month ago, they have refused to contact me despite several calls and emails. I recently emailed them again stating that I was going to place a negative review and giving them a last chance to make things right. I still have not heard from them.
I don't often write reviews and have never before written a negative one, however this is terrible customer service and they are not honoring their warranty. I understand this is a busy time of year for all sprinkler companies but they have pretty much ignored me for a month.
I would not use this company again and would warn off others who are considering them.

they were on time and knocked it out in 20 minutes. They came with an commercial grade, hitched air compressor. The workers were nice and even stood out in the rain to make sure stuff was blowing out right. great guys to talk too as well.

come out for changes. We The owner, Bill Austin, was our initial contact. He was congenial and professional and explained the job thoroughly. His price was fair, even when we requested a couple of add-ons. His crew was on time and worked carefully, and did not disturb existing landscaping. They cleaned up so well that you could not tell they were here. The came back numerous times to do modifications and revisions and always performed as they did for the initial installation. Communication has always been excellent and Bill has always responded promptly. This job was initially done about a year ago and we continue to have them come out for changes and maintenance. We even had them did an 18" ditch for installation of a gas pipe for a fireplace and they were as professional as other times. I recommend they highly.

We dealt with Bill and several of his team, everyone was super responsive and processional. Bill gave us a very competitive quote, turned up when they said they would, installed the system in just over a day, and left zero mess.... I struggled to tell they'd done anything when i got home because they'd cleaned up/replanted/raked everything back into place so well. We used our own "smart" irrigation controller that they weren't familiar with and they had no problem with testing the system with their kit and then wiring up my controller. Really great service and professional install. A+.
