The guys came by - they recognized me which was nice.   (They'd been out here once before.)  They picked up some old furniture the previous owner had left plus a bunch of stuff I'd broken down in the house and moved to the garage.  All went well and was quick.  Months later I remembered that the driver had asked for a review and so here I am.

Painful. The only reason I gave some good grades were the helpful customer service people at the 800 number and the manager who finally did make things right.
Booked online for a Saturday 8-10am pickup. Got an email confirmation saying they would call 15 min prior to the window. Nothing seen or heard by 10am. Called customer service who contacted driver. Driver called me at 10:15am to say that I was never on route and they might be able to get me Sunday. I expressed frustration and was told manager would call. Waited 20 minutes and heard nothing. Called customer service. Spoke with Rachel (she was helpful). She checked with driver and got same story I had been given. She eventually figured out that somebody manually double-booked a set of pickups in an area that made it impossible for them to get to me. She had no explanation as everything I did through the website matched what she saw for availability. She said if I had been calling for a new pickup today she would have told me that there was availability. She was apologetic. I told her I had wasted a good part of my day and expected a serious discount. She said they would do what they could. Got a call that driver was on the way from Olympia to Gig Harbor. Showed up and quoted me same rate as my online promo code. I said this was unacceptable and expected some compensation for all the wasted time and misinformation. He said he was not authorized to do anything more. I told him he could either call and get authorization or leave and I'd slam them on a review and go with another company. Eventually he offered a greater discount, but still not even half off. I sent them away and called customer service telling them they needed a better answer.
Got a call from the franchise owner. Gave him a recap. He said the driver claimed that I had cussed out the team with four letter words and thrown them off my property. Not true. I was frustrated and I told them to leave. The profanity I did use was to call the whole thing "BS" which was accurate. The owner asked what he could do to make it right. I said come back today and haul it away for $100. He said that wasn't gonna happen. Got a call a bit later from the owner saying he had spoken to driver again and gotten more accurate info on our interaction. He apologized and offered to come back and pick up the junk for $100.
Bottom line:
- Junk was hauled away and I paid a very reasonable rate for that
- But...that was only after wasting most of my Saturday and slugging it out
- I understand that mistakes happen. But I had a confirmation that was not honored nor was it ever going to be honored. If somebody had called me the day before or first thing to say "sorry, we goofed" I would have gladly rescheduled. Instead, I was the one to contact them when nobody showed up and it went downhill from there.
- I give the 800 line customer service team credit for trying, and I give the franchise owner credit for following through. If it wasn't for that, this would be a straight F.

Two drivers arrived in a large truck and explained how their company works. They promptly started to load the items I had laid out to hauled away. They offered to get some items from the back yard including four old tires. It was quick and efficient. They errived on time and were pleasant to work with.

Nice polite young men, Scott & Jason.
Gave us an estimate and said they could do it same day. Walked around and viewed all items. Estimated around $700.00. Came back and loaded up but had under-estimated volume and could not get it all in the truck. Had to go and come back for second load. Estimate was almost $300 more than anticipated. In general, for the speed & convenience, the cost was not wildly un-reasonable, but the crew was not close in their estimate of the volume & cost for our load.

The day they were schedule to show up, they called in the morning to say they happened to be in the neighborhood, and offered to show up earlier that day. Removal was done really quick and they cleaned up afterwards. Great experience.
