"We are extremely sorry for the delays, but we have no control of the supplier for the materials you picked out for your countertop. I explained at the time that it was out of my control and even gave the customer a free roof vent and some drywall patching for the delay that was beyond us."
"Customer provided sub par material from a box store and our tile setter showed them this from the beginning. and explained that what they wanted with materials provided was impossible, but spent an extra day trying to do what was asked. Our tile setter did not leave until the customer was happy. The Angie's list deal was for a subway tile and not for thin glass tile which the home owner requested and supplied."
They have been working on it for about a month. The work they have done has generally been pretty good, but they subcontracted through another party to do the dry wall and it was kind of a sloppy job. It did not get re-made so when we went to evaluate the work there were obvious problems. So we have them back in now to redo the work. It has taken them a lot longer than they originally said it was supposed to. People did not show up when they were supposed to. It got delayed by several weeks. We were getting new carpet put in so we had to push back the carpet installation because the job was not done on time. They are working to fix the problem but the delays and lack of communication is frustrating. The overall quality of the job so far is good.
"The [Member name removed]s changed the scope of work several times and each time it was changed, it added time and as a result we had to schedule subs who were already busy. In this very busy environment, job coordination is very tight. We did our best to get people out to the job as fast as possible each time there was a change. I would like to give credit to our crews and subs who dropped what they were doing to work long hours, late hours and weekends to try and accommodate the [Member name removed]s."
"Customer ordered wood rot repair. Customer did not get back to us for months and when we got there the rot was way more extensive than customer expected. This was a custom french door with side lights with no replacement materials readily available and a new custom threshold had to made and fit. We are sorry that our valued customer had a bigger than expected but work completed was necessary."
"Customer requested extra work and a special part that we did not have in inventory. The husband told the office that he would pick up the part and call us when he had it. Time goes by and the wife calls us upset. When I explained to her that we were waiting for her husband to call she became angry and demanded that we come out the next day or she would give us bad feed back."
