Description of Work: Not a customer - but they drove up & filled up the tank without talking to anyone in the house, based on an agreement with previous owner. |Charged me over 2 times the price of $4.209/gallon! (Average current price $2.19-$2.49 from competitors). I complained and they dropped the price immediately to $1.99/gallon for "1st time customer". But, I "MUST" do a "safety" inspection - not required by law, but an interal company policy. |I elected to waive the check and they threatened to cut off my gas supply to my house! I reluctantly agreed after they assured me I wouldn't be charged for this "free" "service" - but I MUST be home and walk through the house with their Monday-Friday only rep, regardless that things were working fine - I NEVER ONCE CALLED THEM FOR SERVICE OF ANY SORT and know if something is working, by turning it on. *By the way - THANKS for making me take a day off work and ruining my day waiting for your technician to show up! Couldn't think of a better way to spend a vacation day! Hmm.... a beach in Mexico or some guy from the gas company because of their company policy? Gessh! |For the check - I got the bill with 2 seperate charges of $121.99 for the check and $39.99 for a "service call" - for their "Free" check. Wow! The nerve! I complained again and they reversed the charges. | |Bottom line - HORRIBLE business practices even with price adjustment, BUT I must say, the customer service reps on the phone were very nice, apologetic and seemed well trained and equipped to do thier jobs without delay, defer & deny tactics like insurance, phone or cable companies. |

+ -1 moreI wish I got more information about the cost of propane and how I could possible get better rates. Rate to rent tank increased although it is still the same tank.

+ -1 moreWe have to either buy or lease the tank, and we bought it. The overall experience was excellent. I have nothing to compare the pricing to, so I don’t know. I wasn’t as much involved with it, and my husband was. They were good.
Description of Work: We used Amerigas to have propane put in for our fireplaces. They installed the propane gas tank that we use to make our fireplaces work. They come once a month to fill it, or whenever we need it.
