ABBA did not clear property in its entirety as per the work order.  Many large and smaller trees were left standing, most of which are right where the house is supposed to go.  Manager called mid-project to say that they did not have the 'big truck' available for hauling debris so they were going to use smaller trucks which would come at a greater expense to US.  We were not in a rush and asked for them to wait until their big trucks were available.  ABBA did NOT follow our direction & proceeded to overcharge us from the original bid on top of the added expense from the small trucks removal of debris.  ABBA met with us in person at the property after we received the egregious billing statement.  She admitted she knows how to bid work and then lowered the price and agreed to come back (verbally & in writing) to finish clearing the lot at no additional charge in the future.  We have yet to summon ABBA back to finish the job, but must do so when the time comes.

They were pretty good, the prices were high but I didn't want to have a backup problem in my house. They did an efficient job and cleaned up, everything was perfect afterwards. They set me the report which was very thorough.

Pam from ABBA came out and gave us a good and fair bid for the work. Our yard proved to be a challenge because we had to remove quite a bit of topsoil that was not draining and replace it with sand that was. We had 4 large trenches dug to install a new drainfield with chambers. We had most of our back yard dug up for several weeks of the summer, as we had started with test holes to find out what kind of soil we had. Because of all the soil that had to be replaced, and not quite direct access to the worksite. it took much longer than anyone had expected. Instead of the 3 days we first had thought it took over a week.
I know Pam lost money on this job because of the time involved. We were very concerned that it would not be put back the way it was because we had extensive work done for a dog park  like yard. We had quite a bit of special colored crushed stone with a large flat stone border across the whole back yard. She did not think that they would be able to salvage the crushed stone. Needless to say we had spent quite a lot of money doing this landscaping project several years earlier and were quite worried about having to do it all over again. One day the whole yard was huge piles of dirt, and large trenches, and the next day it did indeed look almost the same as before they started. They did a far better job of restoration than I could have hoped. She did ultimately charge me more than the agreed on price, because it did turn out to be so time consuming. I didn't really have a problem with that as I would have had to pay the landscaper to restore it.
The only problems I really had ...I am one of those people who like to have updates daily on progress and what is happening the next day. I didn't really get that as Pam seemed to have a lot going on .We ended up with a  large dip at our gate when they removed a little too much soil from that spot, We wound up with a large gap underneath the gate where my small dog could escape under.  I did not have them come back to fix this as we were going to have to do some other landscaping  to finish off that part of the yard since it was left as dirt, and not any grass. It could not have been helped. Overall, we were very please with the results. It was a huge undertaking and the first time we had to do something like this.

They were just fantastic. They came over to check the septic system and it turns out the county had the lot numbers wrong and my septic system didn't need any maintenance work and they didn't charge me for the visit. I would absolutely use them again in the future if necessary.

We will be contacting them within the next month or two.  Their responsiveness was really good.  They are the only ones that did actually what we wanted to do.  The quote was for about $8000.  I liked them a lot.  We decided to go with them.  They did exactly what we wanted within our estimate.

I hired ABBA a few years ago so I knew what to expect.  And what I expected is what I received........  Quality and Professionalism to say the least.  One of the most IMPRESSIVE things is that the same guys that cleared my lot for my lawn approximately 5-6 years ago were the same guys that come out for this job.  These guys are not part of a family run business either, regular employees that obviously like what they are doing and where they work.
This job went as well as the clearing of my lot for my lawn a few years ago, smooth as can be, on time etc.   During the job an unexpected minor expense(debris haul off) was required however, the option was given to me to have it done or not.  Without pressure, just the option which was minor and dealt with easily.  ie clearing the area created more debris due to some things under the ground which nobody could have predicted.
I received several quotes before beginning this job as well however, they were a waste of my time ABBA still come in as the best price.  I have not used anyone other than ABBA for my excavating however, I really don't know how anyone could have done a better job for my money.
My new garage looks great, the area around it is level and looks nice.  The new driveway is also awesome.
Anyone who would like to contact me for more details on my experience can feel free to do so.

ABBA's equipment operators, two different guys arrived on time and were very efficient. One guy the first day and half the next day and another guy throughout day two and three. Both of them showed concern and respect for my property throughout the job. I had checked out the prices with other excavating companies (4 bids) and ABBA was by far the most reasonably priced. Being that the price of the quote was much better than the first four quotes I had received, I was semi concerned about the quality still being equal. Well, that concern was quickly removed once the work began. These guys are really good, true professionals. For example, during the removal of the tree stumps etc and also while the final grade of my yard was being completed, there were several cases that I thought they were done however, they kept working on things until the finish product was something they were happy with, no short cuts get paid and split. I would not have even known if the work would have stopped and they would have told me they were done. One example was the trees appeared to me to be all gone, roots and all however, the excavator operator knew he could do a little more to be 100% happy that my yard would look great for years. So he kept working until he knew all roots were gone etc. They also spread the topsoil and scrapped the edges of the yard as a detail which was not in the bid, completed as a fine tuning detail. They hauled away all debris as well. And the best thing was there were no hidden fees that kept popping up and the final bill was actually about $80.00 less than the original bid. The entire scope of their work was a very pleasant experience. I would say nobody enjoys paying a bill however, in this case the work was so top notch it really felt a though I could not have spent the money any better than with ABBA. I recommend them with confidence whenever I can. I gave them A's across the board here, and that's not normal for me at all, but very true. Anyone who would like, may contact me to confirm my report.
