Ovation Restoration

• We decided to remodel our bathroom while waiting on cabinets for a kitchen remodel being done by Lowes. Rick, the owner of Ovation Restoration impressed us so much with his suggestions for our bathroom, that we decided to extend the remodel to the rest of the house at the same time. It was a bonus that he was hired in time to do the kitchen demolish and drywall repair that was needed prior to the cabinet installation. While I don't recommend anyone remodeling their whole house at once, I do recommend hiring Ovation Restoration if you let your spouse wear you down to saying yes. Rick put us at ease on our very first meeting and helped us envision the dream our home could be. Rick's crew, Chad, Tim, Isiaah, Juan and Chris were incredibly accommodating with our son who is disabled and brought positivity and skill to the job site every day. Hearing how much they thought of Rick & Jessica only reinforced our choice. I still have regrets over my stress affecting my communication at times when there were issues, but the only feedback I would give is that better communication on their part would have eliminated some of this. Regardless, their responses were always patient and kind. Contractors are trying to make a living like all of us in this economy, It would have been better for me to reach out before my concerns elevated. This remodel is now complete, and our home has the comfort and feel of being our own staycation. The ease with which they were to work with made them more like friends. We hope they accept an invitation to dinner.

Service was great. Quickly done and looks great

We had three projects to take care off, met with a representative, went through all the details. Due to circumstances on our end, everything was delayed by a bit but they were never giving us the impression that we're taking too long. Jessica and Rick have been extremely helpful with picking out materials. Fast forward to the actual project, Joshua was the one who did most of the work and he was fantastic. We have two dogs and a vulnerable adult in the home, so communication is key. We didn't have to worry about any of it. Joshua was here most days, unless he had to be at another job, just did his thing. The bathroom looks fantastic, the fireplace is everything we could've hoped for and the garage storage is so sturdy and well built. Now we're off to Round 2 with Ovation Restoration since round 1 has been the best experience we've had with remodels so far. We will definitely get quotes from them again for future projects and recommend. Well worth the money.

Vlad, Rick even Craig were AMAZING! They were professional and explained everything to me from beginning to end. They made sure I was happy and every came back and made some minor changes. I would definitely use them again.

I live alone, widowed, and had no problem allowing workers to come and go. They were very polite and worked like crazy to complete in given time frame. They did a wonderful job and I love it!

They initially were doing a good job.  I have no leaks and everything looked good overall.  However, prior to the onset of winter, we noticed that there were multiple holes in the grooves of the wood siding.  These holes were due to the manufacturer and not anything that the company did.  We also noticed bugs crawling in these holes.  They came out and tried to apply caulking to plug the holes and re-paint these areas.  They never came out to finish the re-painting on the house.  Also there was work that was incomplete on our fencing.  During the course of the work being done I've had several verbal confrontations as to why things were not being done correctly. Rick (the owner) was constantly making excuses or stating he was very busy with other jobs.

Never showed up to do work when they said they would,had unqualified employees doing electrial work, took a week to demo a small bath room that should have taken 1 day. Found out that they were doing 3 bigger jobs and the employees said that they were out doing the other jobs.Finally the tile man quit and they wanted to postpone my project for a later date. I finally told them that was not going to work and they needed to go. Paid for the demo and got rid of them. They told me I didnt need permits to do the work but afer insisting on the permits, they went and got permits. When we agreed to part ways he said I could keep the permits but would not return my cal lto get them transfered to my name.

Let me start by saying that I have no problem with the work that was done, the workers were skilled and did a good job. My issue is with Mr. Arnold. He did nothing but lie to us from day one. He started by saying that he doesn't subcontract like most guys, he has his own crew that have been with him for years, so I was surprised when Advanced Roofing showed up to do the roof. Their man said that they have been subcontracting Arnolds roof jobs for years. When I confronted Arnold about it, he claimed to be a "partner" in Advanced.  Arnold had said that a 7 or 8 man crew would show up and get it done in a day, but a three man crew and two days is what we got. Mr. Arnold's cohort had bragged that they were "top ten on Angie's List", but when I checked (too late) they had no reviews or rating at all. Arnold had said that all "his crew" spoke good english, you could talk to them. They did speak english just fine, but when I told Arnold something the foreman told me about materials, he said "he doesn't speak good english, he misunderstood you". Again, the work done by Advanced was fine, but I really regret getting involved with Ovation.
