Called Tompkins and scheduled an appointment. Service person came out and inspected the range. Service person said Tompkins did not have part in stock and would have to order. Service person said the dispatcher would contact us to set up an appointment for repair. After three weeks, I called the dispatcher who said that the part had been ordered and would be in day after tomorrow. I set an appointment for the next day. I will be forced to use Tompkins because there are not a lot of competitors in our small community,

Responded to a Maytag service ticket in less than 24 hours, on a Saturday to boot. We had a load of clothes stuck in our brand new washer that died during its first load. Store is coordinating a replacement, and arranged for a service tech to unlock. Due date was the following Wednesday, when the clothes might have been ruined due to sitting in dirty wash water for 5 days, and hoped to have a new washer in place before that date anyway. Load is rescued and washer is now ready for replacement at any time!

We turned off the electricity in our kitchen to make a few repairs. When we turned it back on, our gas oven no longer worked. WE thought it was possibly the valves so I called Tompkins because of their "A"  rating on Angies. They booked my appointment right away, Greg (the owner) arrived early. He checked the oven, valves are fine and said that all it needed was a reset of the electronics and it was no charge.

I was extremely pleased by the professionalism of ALL the employees at Tompkins Appliance Service. The office staff is polite and very helpful. The turn around time for the service call was under 2 days. When they came to repair my appliance, the arrived when they said they would and explained things in a manner I could understand. When I needed to replace my washing machine, they were honest about the fact that they could repair it, but it would be more costly to me. I would highly recommend Tompkins Appliance Service. They have integrity!
