This started in April, when Randy, the owner of Prolwan first came by to spray the old lawn with Roundup. He only did the front lawn and not the back as our landlords had hired him to do. We didn't know this until much later when the front lawn started turning brown and the back lawn had hip high weeds. After we notified our landlords and they contacted him he returned several weeks later to finish the grass and weed killing process. After another few weeks, both the front and back yards were brown and ready for the next step, however nothing happened. It seemed Randy had forgotten all about us. Due to a wetter than average spring the Roundup all washed away and the weeds had already started growing back again. Once more we alerted our landlords (who were out of town on an extended work-related trip for the entire season). Once more weeks passed before action was taken after the landlords contacted Prolawn about re-applying the roundup. The landlords e-mailed us that Randy had promised to seed one week after the second application of Roundup, but it was over three weeks till he finally showed up on Saturday July 31st to till the yard (which was once again showing signs of green after the second application of Roundup). He left for the day after tilling and raking the lawn, stating he would return on Monday to seed because the soil needed time to settle. He set the in-ground sprinkler to water and settle the soil until then. Shortly after that I looked out the window and saw a large puddle of water in the yard and a fountain of water rushing up around one of the sprinkler heads. During the tilling process the sprinkler system had been damaged. I quickly shut off the master valve to the sprinkler system and gave Randy from Prolawn a call. I asked him to return to look at the damaged sprinkler and he said he would stop by the following morning. I told him I would prefer him to return that afternoon and not wait until the following day. He simply restated that he would return in the morning. I was rather angry at this point so instead of arguing I just said "thank-you" and hung up the phone. After I cooled off I remembered the T.V. commercials for Angie's list and decided to warn potential customers about Prolawn's unprofessional conduct. Instead of getting on the job and taking advantage a rainy spring, Prolawn dragged it out till the beginning of August when the temperatures are often into the triple digits. It will be a miracle if the grass seed survives the August heat, but even if it does Prolawn has earned an F- based on the poor performance and unprofessional job that they have exibited in this case. If you need lawn service of any sort keep looking because Prolawn should change their name to Rank Armature Lawn.
Description of Work: While renting a house in Walla Walla, Wa. my landlord hired Prolawn to redo the lawn from killing off the sparse grass and thick weeds to tilling and re-seeding. The job started in April and ended in August.
