Eco friendly vegetation management utilizing goat herds. I am a sole proprietor and the only employee. I rarely utilize contract labor. My business is OMWBE certified in the state of WA #W2F6420556. My UBI #is 602-703-320. I am a member of the Better Business Bureau and have an A +rating with them. Rates are as follow: For jobs less than 1 acre and bigger 1/4 acre or bigger utilizing 60 goats $725 per 24 hour day plus tax and minimum $350 one time mobilization fee. Jobs 1 acre or greater utilizing 120 goats $725 per 24 hour day plus tax and a minimum $450 one time mobilization fee (may increase for longer distances) Jobs less than 1/4 acre utilizing 15 goats $250 per 24 hour day plus tax and a one time minimum mobilization fee of $150 Larger jobs will be bid and this can lead to a substantial decrease in the daily rate. How it works? An on site evaluation and estimate will be done to evaluate the site for efficacy and safety of the goats. The goats are completely fenced in with a portable electric netting that keeps them in and predators and dogs out. I live on-site with the herd to care for, supervise, keep safe and assist them by cutting down brush too tall or thick for them to reach. I also cut as much of the remnant brush off at ground level as possible to slow regrowth and make for a much more finished product. My goats well being is my number one priority. They are never slaughtered and when they can no longer be on the job they are retired to loving homes.

"Hmmm. Very interesting. This was one of those live and learn experiences. Yes, It was a verbal contract as I was new in business and up until this experience was able to trust that people would be true to their word. These customers taught me a valuable lesson. Always have a written contract and don't trust people will be good to their word. Not only was I honest with the price I quoted them in the estimate, multiple media articles that had been printed prior to this job had quotes of my rates and supported my side of the story. I also had written in my business journal the quote I gave them and it also supported my case. In the end they were forced to pay me all I was owed, by the legal system. As far as the job. The goats did an amazing job with a very difficult piece of property. The only areas they could not do which were minimal, were areas with toxic plants in them. I do not and will not risk my animals well being. That said, we did the job in the time frame quoted and to our usual impeccable standard. Ask any of these customers neighbors and they will agree. I believe the ones in the wrong here were the members. They tried to take advantage of the fact that in my trusting and yes ignorant manner of not having a written contract, that all they had to do was lie and say I misled them and over charged. It was my word against theirs. He is an attorney and would know that if this was not in writing, they could possibly get away with it. I am a small business and at that time just getting going. I am also very trusting by nature. Unfortunately less so now because of this experience with these people. My reputation is stellar as a business and I find the fact these people are continuing their lie even after they were forced to pay really gross."
