Greentree Dozing

I met with Greentree Dozing (Rick and Phil Middling) with a drawing of a free standing double sided dry stacked rock wall that I wanted to build on my property line with a portion of my husband's life insurance money. They told me that they preferred to work on a 'handshake deal' on a time and materials basis, and got right to work while I took the family out of town on vacation. That was when I found out my son had cancer. And I was too distracted to watch what they were doing. I would be stopped on the way in and out to give them a check for $30,000 this week, or materials later the same week, but was never given fully detailed invoices. And they were always very nice, pleasant men. As they talked, they found out about what other projects I wanted done and offered to take care of those too. I did not notice that as each project was started, little pieces of the previous ones were skipped and left undone so that they couldn't leave.  I eventually did start getting worried when later in the process Rick and Phil disappeared and I was left with poorly responsive workers.  One I found sleeping on the roof.  I asked that he be removed from my property and not allowed back.  Two weeks later he was back on the job with no supervisor.  The roofers were smoking and leaning into the open skylight.  Not cool.It took 4 months for the wall, I don't know how long for the wellhouse, 5 weeks to re-side the house (unpainted) with 3 men, and 5 weeks for 3 men to roof the house.  I took these contractors to arbitration and won, but I had been through enough before this.  I would not recomment them
