He was very forward, knowledgeable, his pricing was fair, he let me know that there were things that weren't worth doing. He was very good, and efficient, and courteous. I thought his pricing was fair during both times.

On the morning of Jan. 31, I called Stan Jensen, got voicemail which indicated he'd prefer email. So I hung up and emailed him my request for a quote for garage door framing repair as well as door threshold repair/replacement. Within a few hours I received a call from Stan and told him what work I wanted done. We agreed to meet at 9 am, Mon., Feb. 3.
Stan arrived on time, and I showed him what I was looking for. I also decided to ask what it would cost to replace a back porch light and outlet, as well as adding a light over a second sink in a bathroom. He showed me that the side yard door was damaged on the bottom due to water damage to the framing caused originally by poor workmanship in the original installation. I asked him to include a replacement door in his quote.
A few days later I received a quote and agreed to hire Stan. It was agreed that he would come on Tuesday, Feb. 11, around 9:00 am. Due to weather (snow for 4 days), he called at 8:30 on Feb. 11 and it was agreed he would instead come the next day at 9:30 a.m. to start the work.
Stan arrived promptly and got to work on replacing the rusty light at the back door. He even went the extra mile and put up the flower box we had just purchased.
It took an extra week to get the side garage door (not in stock at time of order). So he came back to finish the contracted work on Feb. 20.
He did an excellent job, cleaned up after himself, and I would hire him again.

The part of the job was paid separately to the cabinet maker. The price was perfect and we were really satisfied. The price was good and the quote was good. It is a one guy company. He was easy to work with and very honest. It was a good experience.

Trent and his employee were very professional and came prepared. He had me send him a list of what needed to be done in advance so he would have the right tools and purchases he needed for the jobs. I even added to the list while he was here and he did all that too.

Stan responded the same day to my initial email and was on time for both the estimate appointment and when scheduled to do the work. He offered a lower-cost solution to garage storage than having him build it -- he shopped for, delivered, and set up sturdy racks and work benches. He cleaned out bird nesting in a bathroom fan vent and suggested, and then installed, covers for all 3 fan vents to prevent future nesting. He also did a couple of other small repair/installs. I appreciated his willingness to do very small jobs, and suggesting good and less expensive alternatives.

Great! He's so easy to work with...professional, experienced, meticulous. I was really pleased with the results. He's done several projects for me and I have been happy every time. The hardest part is finding a time that works for both of us.

Stan was great, after paying a contractor to do this same job at three times the price, stan came and did a good job for a third of the price and did it well, I now have a good handyman I would call again, thanks stan

This man was awesome. He gave us a reasonable bid for a complete remodel of our kitchen and some additional work in the bathroom. He arranged for the subcontractors(flooring, cabinets, countertops), and worked with them every step of the way. He was here every day, doing all the demolition work himself, and over-seeing the contractors. He installed all the new appliances, and took care of all the finish work. He never complained about the changes, and maintained a great disposition throughout. About 3 weeks for this remodel. Pretty cool!!

We have a 1943 classic Vancouver home on the west side that had years-old issues that needed fixing. We found Stan on Angie's list. He is extremely resourceful and has imaginative solutions to otherwise stubborn problems. He fixed punch list items in hours that it would have taken someone else a day or more to resolve. His hourly rate is a real "bargain" and he works very quickly. We could not have been more pleased. He has great professional connections throughout the area and recommends referrals when a job is beyond his scope (i.e., electrical, painting, sheet metal). Our only regret is not finding Stan years ago!

We have been using Vancouver Handyman for over 10 years, ever since Stan built our large, nearly room-sized storage closet; this was a complicated project which required Stan to work in our crawlspace, including excavation of some of the dirt under the house.
In the most recent job, Stan did sheetrock work for a kitchen and livingroom remodel. As usual, the work was exceptional! Stan was courteous, professional, and punctual. As sheetrock work is dirty and dusty, Stan protected all of our furniture and flooring (as well as, our cats!) and cleaned up without leaving a trace of dust anywhere (actually, we believe the rooms were cleaner than before his arrival!)
We have used Stan on multiple occasions over the years and will continue to do so. Stan is a real craftsman and knows his trade very well. We highly recommend Stan to anyone who is in need of a handyman - no matter how large or small the job!

The first thing he did was installed a retractable screen door for me which I purchased. Then he worked on a bathtub faucet for me one time. He was on time and prompt. He was polite and professional and did his job in a timely manner. I had found more recently that some contractors don’t return your calls and don’t show up when they are supposed to. They don’t bother calling and telling you that they are not going to show up, and I can go on and on. I find the whole business weird. I just don’t know what their deal is. If they were hungry and their business was slow, they’d be there but I had one fellow who was supposed to come one day and he didn’t come and didn’t call. When I called him, he said that he didn’t have my telephone number and it was really stupid. With Vancouver Handyman, the man who came to my house both those times, his name was Stan but I do not know his last name. I have no complaints with and if I have some little things to do with him, I would not hesitate to call him back.

The handyman was out here on two different occasions. The cost was very reasonable and he was very prompt in returning our phone calls. He came right out to look at the job. He could get right to it. There was no long wait. There was a mistake made by him with the work that he did and he corrected it with a better product. There was no problem in having him come back and making it right. So that was very good. We would use his services in the future too.

I was very pleased. They took a long punch list, assessed and obtained materials, and didn't need a lot of supervision. They were good at figuring things out. This was an old house and required a lot of custom solutions. I called them later for another job but they were busy. I will definitely hire them again, though.

They are very great. They are so capable that everybody I recommended them to ask me why dint I recommend them earlier. The person who comes from this firm is awesome. We have bizarre things to be done around the house and when we can't do it we call him. He does everything in maybe just an hour. He is very professional, friendly, thorough and extremely efficient. I have never had a problem with him. He is very frank and if he can't do something he tells us about it. The price is very fair.
