replacement windows
 + -1 moreWe have used him for several things. We have been pleased with him. He is very picky and conscientious. He is retired and does not work a full day. He is very particular and he is very inexpensive. He comes when he says he is going to come but does not stay until evening. He comes around 9am and stays until about lunch.
Description of Work: We used him for installing new windows.

 + 1 moreGary Rushing was exceptional in the quality of his work. He is semi-retired and is very knowledgeable. He is friendly. He took the time to give my husband some tips on the parts of our home remodeling that we are doing ourselves.
Description of Work: Remodel master bathroom, replace windows with double pane windows, reinforce support beam, install microwave over stove and rework electrical for it.

 + 1 moreGary Rushing is meticulous with his work. He is semi-retired and takes his time while working so don't expect a quick job, but you will be very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: He worked on part of the remodel for our master bathroom by laying new floor tiles, new ceramic tiles around the bathtub, sealing the tub with caulk, installing a new fan and touching up cracks, covering patches and touching up the new paint on the walls. He also had suggestions of how to do the projects that we were planning to do ourselves and was very helpful.

 + -1 moreI was looking to purchase a house in Vancouver and I live in Seattle. I made the 3 hour trip down to Vancouver to meet with Gary and we went through the house. He said he would get a proposal together and get back to me in a matter of days. Finally after waiting for nearly 3 weeks, I had to contact him to find out what was going on. He told me that after thinking it over, he decided that the job was to big for him and that he was too busy. The problem is that he neglected to inform me of his decision and now the person trying to sell the home is left hanging, so I have to find a new contractor and make another 3 hour trip to Vancouver to go through the house again. Not even an apology was offered to me. In my opinion this was an entirely unprofessional way to conduct business.

 + -1 moreGARY WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, WORK WAS PERFORMED IN AN EXPERT MANNER. GARY DID A LOT OF SHOPPING FOR THIS REMODEL AND ALWAYS CAME IN WITH AN EXCELLENT PRICE. HE WAS INFORMATIVE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE CLEANED UP AFTER EVERY DAY AND WE NEVER HAD THE MESS ONE MIGHT EXPECT FROM TEARING OUT WALLS AND BUILDING NEW ONES.
Description of Work: A LIVING ROOM WAS INCORPORATED INTO A MASTER BEDROOM SUITE. A JACUZZI TUB INSTALLED. MASTER BATHROOM, CLOSETS, ETC... ALL RELOCATED, OR BUILT NEW. A GARDEN TYPE WINDOW WAS INSTALLED, A SLIDING GLASS DOOR WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW WINDOW UNIT. A WINDOW AND BENCH WERE INSTALLED TO REPLACE AN OLD WINDOW. ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING WORK AS NEEDED TO RELOCATE SINKS, INSTALL THE NEW TUB, ETC...

 + -1 moreEXCELLENT QUALITY OF WORK. ALL THE SUBCONTRACTORS THAT HE RECOMMENDED WERE OUTSTANDING. HE TOOK OUR EXISTING KITCHEN TO BARE WALLS AND STARTED OVER. I LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN, WISH I HAD DONE IT SOONER!
Description of Work: REMODELED EXISTING KITCHEN, INCLUDING MOVING APPLIANCES, DRYWALL AND SHEETROCKING, PLUMBING AND NEW WOOD FLOORS.
