I thought they were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were very efficient and were ready when they said they would be. They gave me good directions to deliver the shade to their business and I would use them again. I think their prices are average, possibly even better than average.

Ed was very honest about what needed to be done.  Replacing the cords wasn't necessary.  He took the top assembly apart on both shades and fixed the problems which we had when raising and lowering the shades.

The owner's shop (located in a detached garage on his property) is within easy access to I-5 in Vancouver.  He is organized and very nice to work with. My blinds were done before they were promised and I hung them later in the day; the repair was perfect!  I will definitely use The Blind Repair Shop again and won't hesitate to recommend his work to others.

Fantastic! Was originally quoted a higher price (but reasonable) and a two-day turn-around. Went to the shop and he asked if I wanted to wait for it. Took him just a few minutes. He even sprayed some lubrication on the mechanism in the head rail to make sure it was operating smoothly.

Went perfectly. They were especially accommodating in that they performed the work on sight to avoid an extra charge for my not being able to bring the blinds into their office due to knee surgery.

Ed came with his son and it took both of them to disengage the two blinds which are both attached to the same frame across. They replaced the part and reattached the two blinds to the wall. I think it all took about 10 to 15 minutes. Worth the money!!

I called The Blind Repair Shop to request info re estimated cost of restringing my Venetian blind and to obtain driving instructions--since I never drive from Portland to Vancouver I was leery about locating the shop. However, the instructions were very specific and I found the shop within 10 minutes of crossing the I5 bridge into Vancouver.
The shop is located immediately next to the owner's home, and it was a very busy operation, full of various types of Venetian blinds and shades requiring cleaning and repair. It is is always a good idea to set up an appointment for delivery of the blind to the shop since his hours are irregular. The older gentleman who owns the shop worked for 28 years in the venetian blind shop that was once located on SE Union Avenue (now Martin Luther King) in Portland. Since customers from Oregon are exempt from WA sales tax, the fee for repair was $25, otherwise would have been $30. I left my blind and the owner informed me he would call within 2 days. He did call within two days and I scheduled a time to pick it up. The blind now works perfectly and I am totally pleased with the repair. Initially, when I dropped off the blind, he offered to clean it for an extra $15, but I clean all the blinds in my home....it is a tedious, time-consuming job. Next time, I will consider having the blinds cleaned by this fine business, The Blind Repair Shop in Vancouver.

Delivered shade to shop, got approximate date for pickup. Called when ready (a day earlier than estimated.) When I picked up the shade, was told that it was easier than estimated and gave me $5.00 off of quoted price. Nice.

I took the blind in one day and received a call the next day that the blind was repaired and ready for pickup. I reinstalled the blind and found that it worked perfectly.

We needed a new part for one of our 2" blinds. We drove to Jim's shop, and he replaced the part for us.

Expertly, quickly, and courteously restrung the shades. Edward DeMille obviously knows how to repair all kinds of venetian blinds and shades. I am delighted to have found someone who can work on RV shades and I will use him again.
