I am very unhappy about the tile work that was done in May 2005 in our bathroom by Straight Line Marble and Tile They were a sub from G-Men Construction in Vancouver, Washington in May 2005. I even called Gene Marsh from G-Men Construction and informed him of the bathroom problem that I am having and he said that he was sorry I was having a big problem, but that he no longer used Straight Line Marble & Tile and that there was nothing he could do. Apparently, neither company cares about the inadequate work that was done in our home and not interested in resolving the problem or compensating us for our expense.
Description of Work: This company did the tile work in our bathroom and 8 years later I am having to tear it all out and replace it. They failed to use wonderboard behind the tile in the shower bathtub area. Instead, they inappropriately used sheetrock. Because of their incompetency, the water from the shower absorbed into the wall and rotted out the wall and the studs in the wall. Now, I have to hire a different company to redo the bathroom and it is costing thousands. I tried to contact Paul Jaskierny from Straight Line Marble and Tile who did the work, but he was unresponsive.

I received quotes from three different companies. They were a little higher but agreed to match the lowest priced company. They also promised to do some extra bonus work for the price.
Description of Work: They came out to my home to give me a quote to replace two sliding glass doors.

went very well. Helped steer the project and give us an idea of what to expect. Gave several recommendations of where to shop for tiel and slab (and who was cheaper or more pricey). Even showed up on a saturday before his golf game to help us search the granite slab warehouse to identify slabs that would work well for us. Job started on time, finished on time. Quality of the work was superior all around (I watch for imperfections and little slips that easily go unoticed) Paul is reputable, honest, and puts in extra effort to help guide you through the process. For any tile work, I would recommend Paul. His price was about 5% above the cheapest, but it was clear to us that we would get the service, quality, and commitment to stand by his work, worth the extra price.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodeling. Replaced backsplashes and counter tops. Removed old ceramic tile and laminate kitchen counters. Remove old tile backsplash. Added 2 slabs worth of solid Granite counter tops. Added 3 walls of natural stone back splash.
