ROOF TOPPERS INC

Friendly guys. Came out and put on the roof quickly. All was well until a few months later another roofer went up to make a modification and told us of the problems. Then the rainy season set in and we had massive leaks everywhere. Friendliness disappeared. They were quarrelsome and difficult and weren't willing to fix it though they did patch a few things here and there. Courses were off, nails were left sticking out under shingles wearing holes through them and leaking, roof felt (done by others) had been cut at wall intersections and other places, flashing was done incorrectly. Argued with them for a few months. I finally hired a forensic construction firm to investigate. Their report convinced rooftoppers to tear off the roof and refund our money. I give them small credit for at least not making me take them to court but they refused to work with me and put on a new roof and botched the roof removal job a bit too.

They came and did estimate quickly, were clear about the length of time in their quote. Upgraded the skylights (free) when I asked about what they were installing. Did a good job cleaning up. Showed up when they said they would, worked quickly. Crew was professional. We had 2 other estimates, they were much better than one and close to the other, but estimate was more detailed and more clear about what would be included and what other charges could happen (repair.. we knew we had some rot to deal with). They had done a neighbors roof after the windstorm last year and neighbors were very pleased.
