Ricci's Mobile Appliance Repair

Absolutely horrible & stressful experience; this man should not be in business. Ricci is a repairman with (supposedly) 40 years' experience. His wife handles scheduling & billing. Our refrigerator stopped working on Sunday, 1/30/11. He came over (2 hours late). I had already researched online & found that we needed a new control assembly. Not a cheap part for a used fridge, but our family of 5 needed it fixed immediately. There is not enough space here to write the details (missed appts., lack of knowledge, lies, mis-quotes) because the experience lasted 11 days - to install ONE PART. It was a daily stressor. Every phone call to him, he promised a return call that never happened. Every appointment scheduled was a no-show, except two: once when he showed up with the wrong part, and again when he showed up to fix it for $50 more than quoted. We paid a $100 cash deposit. After a week of no-shows & changing our family schedule around him, I asked for my money back. He went out to his car to "get the money" and then left. Trying to cut losses, I called him back to finish, and he accused me of calling the BBB. (I had not ~ but apparently others have!) He is rude on the phone (hung up on me twice). Late for every appointment or no show. He could not even figure out the model number of our refrigerator! I had to do all of the research work, calling Frigidaire. He lied & said he showed up once & we did not answer the door. (We were sitting @ home, waiting just for him.) Please do not put yourself through the stress of dealing with this man.
