They did it all by hand, they took care in studying it, and talked to me a lot about what I wanted. They worked hard to save it and make it look like what a hedge is supposed to look. They gave me an advice on fertilizing it for it to green up a little bit and came back every six months or whatever time it takes to maintain it for me.

He did an excellent, excellent job. I'm going to be having him come back and do some other things. The cost was very reasonable and he did a good job. He is going to do some replanting for me. I would definitely use him again.

He talked to me about what I wanted them to look like, how I planned to train them, and how drastic I wanted to be. He was able to get my vision and advise me on reality. The roses are growing on their arbors and looking fantastic now!

Steve was working at my neighbors so I stopped to talk to him about some work I needed done. He walked through my yard that same afternoon and we discussed the various issues of all my trees and some shrubs. He told me he would give me several options, to help my have affordable options. He emailed me a bid based on the conversation we'd had about priorities and the proper timing for the work. We arranged the date on line, and he accommodated my busy schedule. He showed up on time and we quickly went to work. He reduced the cost by letting me help with some of the grunt work, which was nice because he was able to consult with me about which branches to cut and the ramifications of some of the cuts. He kept in mind the way I enjoy my garden, the various view points from which I see the trees and the future health of the trees.

I have lots of perinneals coming up in my garden beds and he was very mindful of not stepping on their little heads. Amazingly, nothing was damaged! Another plus about Steve is that he only uses noisy power tools when necessary. He had good tools and a good orchard ladder that allowed him to do the job efficiently and safely. He was cautious about not damaging my glass sunroom and me! He took time to do his work as if it was his own garden. Steve clearly loves what he does and is a natural teacher, too. He gave me suggestions about pruning I could do on other smaller trees and shrubs myself. It was a pleasure to work with Steve.
