Pomona Hardwood Floors did an excellent job replacing my water-damaged kitchen, dining nook and entry flooring. Sean thoroughly explained all options and provided his expertise in color selection. The Pomona Hardwood team was highly communicative, on time and honest. Even though our job was a small one, Sean provided his full attention with caring from start to finish. We are thrilled with our new flooring and we will hire Pomona Hardwood Flooring for future projects.

Very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process from providing guidance in the type of floors selected, securing great pricing, on time delivery, no hassle removal and disposal of old flooring, detailed installation and offering advice on how to keep new floors clean and long lasting!

Shawn and his crew were very professional. They arrived when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. I had him come back for one minor thing which he took care of in a timely manner. The floors look great and you would not know where the old ones stopped and the new ones began.

Sean and Bruce staff did an outstanding job with the new and existing hardwood. We ended up expanding the work to include most of the first floor (approx 800 ft²).
The sealing method he used was not nearly as intrusive nor smelly as other contractors had claimed theirs would be and we were not out of the house for more than a few hours at a time during the sealing work.
He is a genius at stains and was able to mix up exactly what we wanted in no time once the wood was ready for staining. The new wood was left to settle for about 10-12 days after the initial installation and prior to staining and sealing.

I would highly recommend Sean and Pomona Hardwood Floors to anyone. Even though he may not be as responsive as some others in initial contacts and proposals, he and Bruce were exactly on time once we decided to hire them.

They did excellent work and we were extremely impressed with them. They did a really beautiful job. They were very tidy and consulted us extensively on what we asked for because we had purchased the wood on our own. They met with us on several occasions and their communication was excellent via email and telephone. When we walked in we were just totally in awe when we saw it. They took care of everything because they had to cover things and prep. We were very pleased and would definitely recommend them. I think that their price was very competitive because my husband did a lot of price checking and comparison shopping. They also followed through on what they said they were going to do and got it done in a timely manner.

Great experience, so far. Sean is the best. I had received three bids originally, and ended up going with the wrong contractor. Sean came in and fixed the floor, got rid of the stains and now it's beautiful!! Responsiveness and professionalism is excellent. I will definitely hire them again, and would highly recommend others hire Sean too. I'm extremely happy with the service and the company in general. We have one more coat to go, but we're waiting for trim to be finished before final coat (separate contractor). Based on my experience so far, I'm sure it will finish up fast and that I'll still be extremely happy with Pamona Hardwood floors.

The work went very well, and the end result was excellent. I have no complaints about the work. I would use them again and would recommend their work to others.

They were here within a couple of days. They were responsive because we were in a time crunch. They came out and did the bid but it was just too high. They were good on everything but it's just that we couldn't go with their price.

We had several projects scheduled in sequence to be done in our home within a 2 week period, the floor being the first. Since this contractor didn't return phone calls promptly we worried that he may not do the job on schedule and we didn't want to take that risk. We had already hired another contractor a full week before this contractor got his bid to us by mail.

I am a contractor's daughter, which means that when it comes to home remodeling, I am very hard to please. With that said, I am so delighted with the work Pomona Hardwood Floors did for us that I decided to post them on Angie's List. First, the floors were laid so that our house, which is relatively narrow but long, looks wider and better. Secondly, the workmanship is perfect and looks so classy that my husband wants to get new furniture. The floors are such a high quality job that there is not one squeak or gap anywhere. Thirdly, we gave the owner the keys and went out of town for two weeks. He arranged everything, let himself & his crew in, supervised their work, started & finished on time, charged us what he estimated, & the floors are so beautiful that I want to cry. He was a good communicator, listened to what we wanted, and never made us feel stupid but improved on our concept. Also, add in how nice the owner is. It was a great experience. It was worth every penny!

Sean was very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, though, the work was substandard and not professional -- objects were left under the flooring creating bumps, flooring was cut roughly in areas, flooring hit walls at different angles/distances making the installation of baseboads difficult. Many issues were ''fixed'' in a manner that was ''duck-taping'' at best. Getting these guys to come out and finish the job was like pulling teeth and we always felt as though we were burdening them. The job stretched out for 3 months. Sawdust and remnants were left throughout the house and not cleaned. In the end, we would not use this company again. If you are available to supervise and to agree to all of the conditions and time limits ahead of time, it might be fine. Unfortunately we paid a lot to have new flooring installed and are very unhappy with the quality and the way it has evolved. Sean is a really nice guy and probably could do good work....just stay on top of things.
