Really happy with the entire experience! Rob was friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and extremely helpful in finalizing the design to complement our home and patio. The installers (Rick & John) were professional, friendly and did an awesome job building a great patio cover with quality product and pride in their work!

The project went extremely well, from my initial contact (in person) with Robert to the actual installation by Charlie and helper. Robert came out to my house within a couple of days to see scope of work and provide an accurate estimate. He made great suggestions and explained how the lattice would be attached. Took less than 2 weeks to have lumber ready and the installation done. The actual work was done with care and great attention to detail, installed with an eye for cosmetic attractiveness and solid bracing, etc. (don't want your extension to break off if a windstorm hits, and this one won't), and overall professionalism. Bill was exactly as estimated, installers were prompt and I am completely happy. Pioneer fence was recommended by a friend who had used them previously and attested to their excellent work. (Apologies if the photo is not horizontal but the website didn't seem to want to post it the way it really looks!)

Robert and Jennifer were extremely easy to work with. He worked us into his schedule on short notice to remove a staircase and repair a deck before the house painters arrived. And he was very patient when we had delays due to stump removal and utility locate problems. We had 4 bids and his was one of the lowest, yet the fencing material was by far the best quality. They worked with me on the design of the fence so it would be acceptable to our neighbor and the results showed that they take pride in their work.

The final product was OK but it took me calling to have them come back out and replace some of the wood broken, unevenly cut pieces, big nail sticking through. What really upset me was that rather than put new post in (as the orignal fence had been done), they nailed supporting beams into my house - on both sides. I was told that for now on, they will get the owner permission before doing so. But never in my wildest dreams would I expect the work to be performed in this manner. The owner did come out and inspect the job after I called and said that this is common practice. Really? Anyway, I appreciate him having the repairs done to the initial job but was not satisfied with his answer regarding the beam elimination.

They called the morning they were coming to work on the fence after I had already left for work. This was weeks after hearing nothing from them at all. I realize that this was during the busy season and am thankful they even took the job but 24 hours notice would have been nice. That being said, the fence is adequate (it's a chain link fence) and I love the gate. After I complained about the short notice on the fence, they did call the night before they started work on the deck. The deck is nice. It looks nice. There are a few problems. Basically when they built the deck they created a trough between the house foundation and the deck itself, but provided nowhere for the water to go. Eventually I would have needed a new deck and probably some foundation repairs as well. The contractor I had hired to do the house repairs (also damaged by the neighbor's daughter's car) discovered the issue when they were getting ready to replace the siding. We contacted Pioneer. They disagreed. So the house contractor had to fix the problem. They also had to anchor a section of the deck that was warping up. In summary, Pioneer did good work on the fence, great work on the gate, the deck was built quickly and looks pretty but did not provide any drainage for water coming off the house.

Exceptional workmanship and care. They approached the work as if the they were building their own fence. They go above code in setting the fence posts 2 feet in the ground vs 18 inches. The fence is solid and looks great! The crew was professional, friendly and took care to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted. By far the best fence building experience we've had (of the four previous).

I am very satisfied with the work and the product. I got 3 estimates for the job, and they were all in the same ballpark. While they weren't the least expensive, I chose Pioneer because they are a local family brick and mortar business, and because they were prompt and on time with their estimate. They completed the little garage today, and it is better than I hoped. Thanks guys for the great service!

Had some initial challenges in getting calls returned when we were trying to schedule a time to obtain an estimate but after that first hurdle, they were very responsive with getting the materials ordered and the installation. I had some scheduling conflicts with the installation since I had a deck waterproofing cover that needed to be installed first. They were very flexible in accommodating my schedule. The installation went very fast. I had a minor concern and they returned the same day to look at it and told me there was no problem. The workmanship was great. We had some concerns due to the high winds in our area and we experienced 40-50 mph winds these past few months - no problems with the cove - it looks great! The Acrylite cover is the first one installed in our neighborhood and we received many compliments and interest. We are interested in adding an additional panel and we will be contacting them again. I rated them as a "B" in the price since I felt the itemized invoice was not fully explained to me at the beginning. I ended up calling the City for the permit information and telling them about it. I had thought that they would have done this. The cost associated with permit was not explained to me. Other than that, I thought they were great!

I saw Pioneer Fence working in our neighborhood and could see that they were doing an expert job. Contacted the company and Robert came out a few days later and gave a fair bid. They completely replaced my aging fence with a new, steel-post cedar fence. It took a day and a half of work, including hauling away the old wood and the English ivy that had covered it. They did an excellent cleanup job and the new fence looks wonderful.

I a contractor myself I appreciate clean professional work and Pioneer exceeded my expectations. Their install crew was clean, prompt, friendly and made adjustments we asked for with any resistance. 
When I the time comes for my fence to be rebuilt I will only call Robert & Jen and you should call them too!

Contacted them and requested an estimate through their web site. They responded the next day and we set up an appointment. I initially asked about the patio cover and a deck for the area. Rob was very helpful in providing information about materials and options. I received a written estimate for the deck and patio cover while he was there. The project was broken down into the deck and cover separately and with material options. I didn't get pressured to commit right away and took my time mulling it over.
I decided to put off the deck project because I'm not 100% convinced about the composite decking material. I'm still holding out hope for something that isn't constructed of wood pulp covered in plastic. I'm still researching materials and might go with aluminum, rice-hull, or bamboo as the deck board.
For the patio cover, I choose the Acrylite brand of aluminum framed patio cover. Pioneer can custom create patio covers, but I decided to go with this manufactured patio cover since I have already have vinyl siding, so why not add more metal/plastic? If I had a craftsman style house I would have gone with a custom wood/glass cover.
I contacted Pioneer again about a month after the initial estimate through the e-mail address provided on the estimate. Jennifer responded right away and she was able to give me a new estimate with an option to use all glass instead of the Acrylite material. Jennifer pointed out how heat transmitting glass would be on this South facing side of the house, which probably saved me from making a mistake. I went with the heat blocking Acrylite after all. 
On the day of the installation, the installers came out and worked with me on the installation options. They went above and beyond by helping me remove some tree limbs that were in the way. By doing that, I was able to extend the patio cover to be exactly where I wanted. They also worked with me on the frame post locations to optimize the usable space in the deck area and keep the posts from obstructing views. I had an anchor bolt in the concrete patio from a previous home project that was not serving any purpose other than as a toe-stubber. They saw that and offered to grind it away for no charge. That was very much appreciated.
I've been enjoying the patio cover for almost 2 months now and haven't had a problem. I would recommend Pioneer as a patio cover installer.

My neighbor and I had the company put up 10.5 feet between our houses and then each of us had a gate installed on each of our properties. My neighbor paid for the 10.5 feet between our houses and I reimbursed him for my half. I was charged $555.55 for my gate. I did not get an estimate sheet for my gate nor do I have a receipt for it. I saw my neighbors estimate as the gate being $350 and the 10.5' of fence being $333.13 plus tax. The company put the posts in on Thursday and completed the work on Friday. After they had gone on Thursday, I noticed that they had put concrete in all the post holes except the one closest to my house. I was gone when they did most of the work on Friday but when I arrived they were finishing up and needed my check for $555.55. Knowing that my neighbor's estimate sheet said $350 for the gate, I asked the worker if the $555.55 included my half of the 10.5' of fence. He said that it did. Every time I have called Pioneer Fence I have gotten a recording. I called three times before I finally reached them the following Monday. I wanted to confirm that the check I wrote included the fence between my neighbor and I. I was told that it wasn't included. I asked why it was the $500+ when my neighbor's gate was $350. The person (man) to whom I spoke was extremely rude, said that is just the way they write it and implied that I wasn't very bright to not catch on. I asked for a copy of the bill and he said that would send it out. He hung up on me. In the afternoon, I checked the pole that I noticed hadn't had concrete in the hole before and there was quite a bit of wiggling. I called the company, left a message, and asked them to call me. They have not returned my call nor have they sent my bill/receipt. I would not use their services again. I gave an additional check to my neighbor to cover half of the fence between our houses. My neighbor was not satisfied with the hardware on his gate and had them come out to replace portions of it.

Pioneer was prompt and responsive with their coming to provide an estimate and emphasized quality work and materials where other contractors suggested shortcuts. Even with this, Pioneer came in with the most reasonably priced bid. They were prompt in executing the construction and were gentle on our property and landscaping.

Overall the fence job is sub standard one of the fence posts is in the wrong location which created a lot of problems. Its like the old saying goes the further away you get the better it looks.

If you want great customer service, a 4 star professional crew and a job that exceeds what you expected, then you want to hire Pioneer Fence. Everyone was professional, the work is quality, and they even cleaned up after themselves! You will not find better quality customer service from start to finish of job.

Pioneer made my fence to my specifications. I wanted something that I was unable to find from the big box stores. They did a good job installing the fence and it has stood up to the weather beautifully. I got exactly what I wanted.

Reasonable prices, show up on time, did what they said they would do. I couldn't ask for more. This was a small job which I thought would get shoved to the back burner. It didn't and they definitely have my future business.
