We love our Pacific Lifestyle Home! We’ve been living here about seven years now, and it is absolutely the best house we’ve ever owned. Very solid construction. No major issues at all. PLH has been very responsive anytime we’ve needed anything, but we’ve haven’t needed much.

The house is less than 2 years old and it's already showing either wood rot or black mold in a big area or the roof. It will probably be a very expensive repair. The builder referred me to the 2-10 warranty but since it's not strictly structural, I'm sure I'm on my own here. I didn't expect to have to fork out thousands of dollars in fixes less than 2 years after buying a brand new house. There's also areas inside the house where gaps between the ceiling and walls grow up to 5mm wide when it gets cold. A lot of corners where walls meet are popping open. Will probably have to spend another few thousand dollars fixing these later on. If you want a fine built home, I would highly recommend New Tradition Homes. I had one for 17 years and it had ZERO issues. I will never buy from Pacific Lifestyle Homes again.

If we could turn the hands of time backwards, we would NOT have built a home with Pacific Lifestyle Homes. They do a good song and dance upfront to secure your deposit, then you are at their mercy when it comes to timing and quality. The home is about 20 months old and already showing signs of wear. Hence, why we only gave two stars for quality. The pre-closing and post-closing walkthroughs are a joke as we are STILL working with them to fix things. Our encounters with the sales team to the warranty team have been unpleasant because they are quick to NOT take responsibility and reflect their shortcomings onto the buyer: us. Basically, they act as if they can do no wrong and never accept responsibility for their actions (or lack thereof). We would characterize their attitudes as condescending and unprofessional, especially the lead salesperson, who has since left Seven Wells for Viewridge Hollow. There is a lot of competition out there and we recommend that you truly think twice about building or purchasing a home from Pacific Lifestyle Homes and consider another builder.

Sales process was fine. They were very pushy to close on time and I mistakenly trusted they would fix everything before the closing date. On my closing walk thru they pointed out all the issues they couldn't fix, then were not responsive and often ghosted me when I asked for follow up. Paint on wood floors, wrong shower doors installed, poor paint throughout home, etc. The customer service and project management team is awful. I am still waiting for response on issues. I've lived in other new homes, this company is by far the least responsive.

Karen King was terrific and very helpful as we changed the materials we choose. Unfortunately I found the selection options at the design center to be limited. It seemed that shades of brown were the only options. We wanted shades of gray in our house interior and exterior. For example there was no gray carpet, no gray house house colors, no gray cabinet colors (but there was black or white) and brown was the only option for a front door color. This is disappointing in a custom home.

They were on top of everything from my first meeting in the sales office. They went to extra effort to make sure the home was constructed with my wants and needs in mind. The home itself is very well-built with much attention to detail. I'm very happy in my new Pacific Lifestyles home!

We chose this builder because they had a floor plan that could be configured to meet our needs and because we liked the general area. Their initial agent was friendly and honest. Unfortunately in the middle of the project, that agent was pulled from the development and the agent who took her place was more difficult to work with and not all of her information proved accurate. We discovered early on that the measurements for our property were not the same as the ones in writing, but kept getting vague promises about fixes. When it became apparent that there was going to be no fix, our choice was to walk away and start the process all over somewhere else (with time we no longer had) or live with it. Although it was in our contract to landscape the front yard, they only did half of it, requiring us to hire the rest done. They never did pour the patio or door pad in the back, as was in the contract and I was forced to hire that on my own too. Promises to pay were not kept.

THE CONSTRUCTION IS VERY GOOD, AND IT WAS VERY EASY WORKING WITH THE BUILDER. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT WHENEVER I HAD ISSUES WITH WARRANTY WORK. I JUST WISH THE WARRANTY WAS LONGER THAN 1 YEAR.
