The equipment was in poor shape and I had to bring out my own tools to put the equipment together and take it apart.

We live in an older home (1941) and periodically (every 3-4 years) need these specific drains cleared. Dispatchers Theresa helpful in finding a time that would work with my schedule. Dave made first visit, but machine he had to clear the drain did not fit in our narrow pipes under the sink. Drains between shower and sink were connected which was why both were slow. Return visit (AHS covered) scheduled around my time and with proper machine went very smoothly. Dave very helpful, considerate, and happy to share insight on other issues. I am not always pleased with the folks AHS sends, but this was a winner.

I put in a ticket with AHS Home Warranty and they assigned Pacific Drain to my issue. I called that night to try and get an appointment for the following day, since we couldn't use the water in our house without risking back up flooding out of the shower pan and making a huge mess in the basement bathroom. The woman I spoke with on the phone, "J," was so kind. She went out of her way, checking with scheduling and then calling me back, at 8:30pm at night, to get me a next day appointment. I got a call the next morning asking if they could come an hour earlier even. Yay! "H" showed up at our house and was professional, friendly and efficient. He couldn't clear the drain because it was so clogged up, so he moved to a larger pipe under another sink and was able to clear the drain. We opted to have an enzyme put in the drains to prevent further build-up over the year. H didn't hard sell it, just told me about the option and let me and my husband decide. When he was done, he even cleaned up the sludge residue in the shower so I wouldn't have to deal with it. Overall, Pacific Drain went beyond my expectations and did an amazing job. I will call them first for any plumbing/drain work I need in the future. Note: cost was $75 AHS fee plus we paid $40 for the optional enzyme treatment. I'm attaching two photos - one of the disgusting back up and the other is what the shower looked like after H left.

David was timely -- appeared at my door within 15 minutes of my call. His company has a very nice tracking app that sent me text messages showing where he was enroute and his ETA. He quickly and efficiently cleared the drain, but also took the time to explain what he was doing and give me some tips on environmentally-friendly and pipe-safe solutions to prevent future clogs. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He stayed long enough to do a couple of simple water tests to make sure the line was completely clear and answer a question I had about my dishwasher. He really put me at ease -- I was so worried that I had a major (and expensive) problem on my hands, but he was so reassuring and confident that it was just a run-of-the-mill clogged drain.  As a woman and a new homeowner, it's nice to find a service person that doesn't try to up-sell you for more service or product than you need!  I will be keeping David's number in my file for future plumbing issues. Hopefully I won't have any, but now I know who to call if I do!

I discovered a sink hole in my front yard and it looked like it was right in line with the sewer from the house to the street. Before repairing the sink hole I wanted to get the sewer line inspected just in case that was the cause. The house is about 25 years old. I called Pacific Drain Services and they were able to get me in the same day, about 4 PM. They called me when they were on their way and showed up on time. I had the cleanout located and ready to go. The inspection showed no damage and overall the line was in good shape. While he had the video unit out at the city main he asked if he wanted be to locate it (mark it with a little paint), I had him do it. As he pulled the video unit back toward the cleanout he located and marked all the turns it took in order to give my a better picture of where the line was in relation to my sink hole (original problem). It took a little over an hour by the time it was all said and done. He left me with a good write-up on the receipt. He also gave some advice on how to fix the sink hole. By the way, I ended up digging it out by hand and found a lot of wood that was buried and rotted away plus I found a cracked sprinkler line. I repaired he sprinkler line and filled the hole with gravel, packed the heck out of it and top it off with soil.

They said the sewer line was needing major repairs. A second company found the line to be in good working order. They pulled the toilet when the clean out was out front. The video was reviewed by another company who found discrepancies.
Response from Pacific Drain Services
"Hi there, if there was a cleanout in the front yard, it was unable to be found. There is not a plumber around who would prefer to pull a toilet over using a cleanout access, especially for the nominal fee we charge. I'm assuming that a video inspection was performed for a real estate transaction; if we found a problem, we stand by it. Although another company may find that they don't feel there is a problem, we present all information to the buyer so they can make an educated decision. Second opinions are encouraged, and we perform those for transactions as well. Cheers!"

I had to write a review for this company because they are simply the best.  I have rental units in the Vancouver area and whenever I have a plumbing issue, I call Pacific Drain Services.  When I have an emergency and need them that day, they show up 100% of the time on that day.

Their work is excellent and their professionalism is A+.

You want a great plumber, call PDS!!!

Our veterinary hospital has used them twice now in the last couple years for major clogs in both our kennel area and more recently in our grooming facility.  Jon was responsive, friendly, professional and informative.  We thought we were having sewage backflow (turned out to be years worth of soap scum and pet hair) so asked for them to come out quickly.  John was out within a few hours and even called to let us know when he was on the way.  Cleared everything up beautifully and discussed future upkeep recommendations.  Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.

What I thought was going to be relatively small drain unclog call turned into a cracked pipe & mainline replacement. Jon worked with us, was very fair with his prices & somehow fit our now large project into our schedule with such short notice. Thank you.

We had a blocked drain and we had some flooding in our bathroom. What they did is they came out and they cleared the line and found where the blockage was. They were very good.

Jon & Billy were awesome!  Very professional, explaining what they were doing every step of the way. They were able to locate, identify the obstruction, and remove it. The drain is open and operating fine.
They were here about 1.5 hours. They even cleaned the shower when they were finished!

The workers arrived for both visits on time--even slightly ahead of schedule--and in both cases were personable and professional. I would absolutely recommend Pacific Drain Services for your plumbing needs.

Warranty company said it would be 12-48 hrs for a call back from the referred provider. John called next day to schedule service. His schedule was already full (this was a Thursday), so work was schedule for first thing Monday morning. (We had two other complete bathrooms, so this was not a huge inconvenience for us. If it had been, he was prepared to come as soon as possible.) He said he would be there between 9-11, depending on his first call and would call when on his way. At 9:40am he called to stay they were 20 minutes out. They showed right at 10am, got to work and were done in less than half an hour. John was adamant about cleaning the mess that had been left from the slow drain, not his work. He tried and got most of it, and I followed up later - no problem. He had already cleaned up his work! He asked me a couple of questions relative to the fixtures, asking if we had problems with them. He showed me that it was draining and functional again. John has already called to make sure that everything is alright. Would definitely use his services again. Polite, conversational, knowledgeable and prompt. PLEASE NOTE: the cost of services was low because we paid a copay for repairs. Cost of this service would have been $110, per John.
